dark red chestnut color, thin cream head, ring. Plum-booze and brown sugar nose, light stinging cherry acids. Front palate of lightly stinging sugar and arsenic, heavy cherry acetic in waxy mid, lightly nutty in the thin, low-carbed watery finish, the bourbon washing out a lot of it.

Salmoniform (1281) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - NOV 26, 2015
Poured from 750 to glass that was properly cellared since release. Clear brown hue with reddish tint and tan head that dissipated to a ring. Aroma is cherry, lactic, tobacco, leather, bourbon. Mouthfeel is great with a light body and crisp carbonation. Taste is dry sweet with a tart following and oaky tannin finish. Overall this is a great beer.

Pour is dark brown, red edges, tan head. Nose has a bit of acetic acid, moderate wood and bourbon blends with the sour cherry of the old bruin and i’m not a real fan of the result. Flavor is a bit washed out, boozy, acetic acid melts the flavor, the bourbon and sour cherry are not a good combo for me. Chalky feel, soft carb, a bit full bodied.

750 ml bottle, traded with hannont, Thanks Todd! pours clear medium dark brown with an amber hue. Small yellowish head. The nose is a unique combination of cherry funk and barley wine alike vanilla bourbon. Medium body, pungent ssour, some level of sweetness, but all it rather on the fruit acidity side. Flavour reveals some spicy notes, even some orange and cinnamon mix (aftertaste), cherries. Interesting beer.

Bottle shared with Dany, Rudy, Eric, and my wife at Be Bap in Montreal. Pours a Deep black with a thin tan head that falls off immediately. Dark fruit, wood, acid and a bit of toast. Medium bodied, a touch acetic, funky acid. Long acid, funk and roast. Lingering acid with a bit of alcohol.

Wow this beer hugely exceeded my expectations. Pours brown with some robeytones and clarity. Aroma is smooth bourbon, vanilla, oak, cherries, tart dark fruits. Taste is medium sweetness and nice tartness without any vinegar bite.. Love it.
