Served in a cervoise. Nice dark fruit and fairly-heavy acidity. Touch of chocolate. Thanks, Aaron! MrChopin (4305) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - DEC 28, 2015

dark red chestnut color, thin cream head, ring. Plum-booze and brown sugar nose, light stinging cherry acids. Front palate of lightly stinging sugar and arsenic, heavy cherry acetic in waxy mid, lightly nutty in the thin, low-carbed watery finish, the bourbon washing out a lot of it.

Tap @ Belmont Station... Poured deep, brown/mahogany with a little head that faded quickly. Low carbonation, mellow mouthfeel. Nose had dark fruits, bourbon, and toffee, sugary malt. Tasted quite vinous with notes of prune juice. Other dark fruits like dates and cherries. Also oak, bourbon, malt sweetness, clove spice, and vanilla. Finished with hint of acidity and tartness. They nailed it with this one. High hopes it’ll age well. mathieuc (4000) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 9, 2013
Pours a murky brown with a small dirty head that leaves minimal lacing. Aroma of bourbon, wood and red fruits. Taste is vinous, sour and acidic. More fruits (currants?), more bourbon, some vanilla and various spices. Not much of an acetic character (I don’t usually complain about that but I believe a red/brown still needs a little vinegar). Medium carbonation. Good and fun but a bit linear to me. Huhzubendah (3761) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 2, 2012

The beer is chestnut brown with a thin, beige head. The aroma brings malt, booze, oak, tannins. Wild yeast with a touch of fruit and a tannic bourbon character. Medium bodied with a lingering sweetness. Alcohol presence throughout. Overall, this was pretty good.

25.4 oz bottle. Dark brown with a haze. Nose is caramel, red grapes, bourbon, oak and tart cherry. Slick and oily, juicy with a sour bite. Taste is sour cherry, cinnamon and cranberry that almost becomes too sweet before the bourbon licks in. I liked a good whiskey sour back in the day. 50belair (3684) - Florida, USA - APR 9, 2013
Botled shared at Matt’s pad. Clear brown pour with an off white head. Sour stone fruit aromas. Sour stone fruits, caramel malt, and oak notes. The bourbon notes have really mellowed. Good body and mouthfeel. A solid sour ale from Block 15. Reynolds314 (3477) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 16, 2014
Wow this beer hugely exceeded my expectations. Pours brown with some robeytones and clarity. Aroma is smooth bourbon, vanilla, oak, cherries, tart dark fruits. Taste is medium sweetness and nice tartness without any vinegar bite.. Love it. Minderbinder (3469) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 8, 2013

Pours brown with low beige head. Some lacing. Aroma is of bourbon, alcohol, malt, fruits. Taste is of oak, bourbon, sourness, fruits, booze. Probably other stuff, but LOTS of bourbon. Slight sourness. Palate: Medium body. Balance not too shabby. Overall: Alcohol not well hidden. Pretty good stuff.
750ml bottle. Thanks to Todd for the opportunity... Pours a deeper mahogany cherry dark pour, somewhat murky, and topped with a thin layer of soapy white head... Aroma of sour cherry and brown ale. Slightly acidic with a touch of earth. Solid sour but nothing extraordinary... Flavors are more of the same with sour cherry earth and a touch at dark grain. Fairly clean with a touch of acidity. Light to medium bodied. With semi-lively carbonation.
