Pours a murky brown with a small dirty head that leaves minimal lacing. Aroma of bourbon, wood and red fruits. Taste is vinous, sour and acidic. More fruits (currants?), more bourbon, some vanilla and various spices. Not much of an acetic character (I don’t usually complain about that but I believe a red/brown still needs a little vinegar). Medium carbonation. Good and fun but a bit linear to me.

750 ml bottle, traded with hannont, Thanks Todd! pours clear medium dark brown with an amber hue. Small yellowish head. The nose is a unique combination of cherry funk and barley wine alike vanilla bourbon. Medium body, pungent ssour, some level of sweetness, but all it rather on the fruit acidity side. Flavour reveals some spicy notes, even some orange and cinnamon mix (aftertaste), cherries. Interesting beer.

750ml bottle. Thanks to Todd for the opportunity... Pours a deeper mahogany cherry dark pour, somewhat murky, and topped with a thin layer of soapy white head... Aroma of sour cherry and brown ale. Slightly acidic with a touch of earth. Solid sour but nothing extraordinary... Flavors are more of the same with sour cherry earth and a touch at dark grain. Fairly clean with a touch of acidity. Light to medium bodied. With semi-lively carbonation.

brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 6, 2012
Dark amber pour with an off-white head. Certainly a bit acetic on the nose. Plenty of dark fruit such as raisin, cherry, and plum. A touch of earth, some oak, and bourbon. A bit of toffee sweetness, too. The flavor is sour and acetic, but has some malt sweetness to balance it. Lots of fruit character, bourbon, oak, and a light earthy, mushroom-like funk.

750ml bottle, thanks GT2. Poured a brown color with a small off-white head. Aroma is boozy malts and some light funk notes. Flavor is some roasted malt notes, some dried fruits, some tartness in here most certainly.

Prufrockstar (2132) - Moscow, Idaho, USA - OCT 28, 2013
Bottle. Smells like cheesy fruit; brown sugar; poop; starburst. Taste: vinous, smoke, leather ... Weird. Don’t know what to make of this really, but ... Okay. A lot going on. But hard to figure out what I should be drinking. I don’t like this for no reason except I don’t have a narrative to latch onto.
