A: Deep red that is nearly mahogany. Creme colored head. Lacing.
N: Grapefruit, cherry, vinegar, leather, red wine grape, oak, tobacco, more acetic acid.
T: Very sour. Light sweetness.
M: Medium body, fuzzy carbonation, a touch of alcohol.

Big sample at What the Funk!? Pour is murky brown in appearance with a small tan head and good lacing. Big cheese, smelly, funky, waxy, slightly acidic, tannin, sour fruity, and caramelly aroma. Taste is very acidic, woody, dark fruits, caramel, toffee, red wine vinegar, raspberries with a big sour finish. Light body with medium carbonation. UPDATED: JUL 4, 2013 Tap @ The BeerMongers during Sour Showcase... Poured deep reddish with a thin beige head. Unfortunately this had notes of diacetyl on both the Nose and flavor. More in the aroma though. Some acidity, wood, and dark fruits, black cherries with a buttered grain note. Drying towards the finish with woody brandy-like booze along with some tartness too. I felt that this beer was struggling to be either sour or barrel forward, and nothing shined with either of those. On tap at Baileys Taproom. Colour...garnet-amber with no head. Nose...acetic with macerated grapes, plum butter and cassis. Just smelling this ale made my salivary glands start gleeking! Palate...light CO2, massively sour to start then the sourness steps slightly to the side and allows the fruit to come forth. There’s more grape here (pinot noir) as well as pit fruits with a lean towards Royal Ann cherry, nectarines and Italian prunes. A browny-red pour. In the mouth it is tart and full of rich, woody brandy flavour. Enlightened by cherry and raspberry notes. Rich and tangy all the way. Intensely deep and luxurious. Wonderful.
