Really smells like a fig, giant bourbon body, with caramel and fruits, good taste like pudding, but ends a little too hard on the alchy note. hayduke (5762) - Eureka, California, USA - JUL 29, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 2, 2017 Sampled at the RBSG 2017 Grand Tasting. In my tasting glass this was a clear amber bronw with a tan head. Nose of sweet malts and ripe fruit. Full in body, and creamy in the mouth. The flavor is awesome. There are figs of course, but also plums and raisins. Finishes with lots of brandy. UPDATED: JUL 29, 2017 Bottle at RBSG Boise. Pours clear rich tawny with a medium, frothy tan head, medium retention. Rich bready malt, brown sugar, figs, plums, Brandy notes, pie crust and a sweet, lightly boozy finish. Full body and medium carbonation. dmac (6647) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - JUN 9, 2017
375ml bottle from an IP Fizzbook trade. Poured a murky dark chocolate brown under an average sized deep beige frothy head. The ingredients combine to give this an aroma of fresh banana bread toast. Flavor is figs, cake, brandy, wood, touch of chocolate, dates, brown bread and dough. Medium palate, slick mouthfeel, average carbonation, heat lingers long after the swallow. Tap. Brown color with small tan ring. Aroma is tobacco, oak sugar, molasses, raisins. Taste is raisins, lots of oak sugar, brandy burn. Medium carbonation. Quite sweet, a bit too unbalanced. Not excellent.

Poured from a growler. Murky brown color with a thin white head. Aroma is brandy, booze, sweet figs and molasses. Flavor is very much the same with a touch of vanilla. Alcohol is masked much more in the flavor than it is in the nose. Mouthfeel is a little watery but doesn’t detract from the flavor. Solid beer from a great brewery. ACHops (1762) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 7, 2017
On tap @ Chuck’s CD. Pours slightly watery dark blackish brown with thin mocha head that fades instantly. Aroma is fresh figs, dried apricots, caramel, and sweet boozy brandy. Taste is toasted dark caramel malt, molasses, vanilla, cinnamon, and figs. Loads of figs and brandy - if you like those, you’ll love this. Rich unique flavors without being cloying. Not a universal attraction, I’ll allow, so this remains a unique offering. stevoj (6209) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 7, 2017
Bottle from Derek. Big on the pit fruit, figs, dark, English pudding. Smells like fruit cake. Gets better as it warms. cobaink2 (916) - seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 17, 2016
Woah this is quite amazing. Figs, licorice, dates and rye malt are all here. Really complex and quite a nite holiday beer. bpreo (3081) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - DEC 11, 2016

I’ll give it a little bonus for the high alcohol content. Flavor is up in the air.
