A: Pure black with a mocha head. Lacing.
N: Raisin, cherry, tannins, pinot noir, oak, tobacco, leather, some raspberry, fig, wine grape, and toast.
T: Quite sour, lightly sweet.
M: Medium-light body, no alcohol, spritzy carbonation.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours near black with a beige head. Aroma of light sourness, some cherries, some oak and light bourbon and light notes of red wine, dark malts, and light notes of dark fruits. Flavor the same. Average texture. A solid beer.

Poured from tap to glass. Dark hue with reddish tint and tan head. Aroma is cherry, cereal malt, grapes, wood, vanilla, biscuit. Taste is nice with a medium body and good carbonation. 750 ml bottle. Pours a almost jet black color with a large beige head. A sour malty nose, vinous and oak. The flavor is interesting and easygoing: cherries, tartness, wine, dry white wine mostly, berries, the base saison comes in with almost funky dryness. I think this works well. A: Pours a dark purple color with an off white head forming on the pour. It recedes to a thin ring that leaves some splotchy lace down teh glass.
S: Tart cherries on the nose with the pinot barrel coming through, some oak and a faint hint of the base saison with some fruity yeasty and esters.
T: The saison base comes through a little more in the taste with some stone fruit esters and peppery yeasty. Tart cherries, some oak, a little pinot and some must.
M: Medium light bodied with a medium carbonation level. Dry finish.
O: This was a weird beer. There’s a lot going on, but thankfully the base saison wasn’t too lost with all the barrel treatments and adjuncts added. Definitely interesting.
