Bottle. Hazy pale golden body with a medium sized white head. Aroma is fruity with spices and herbs, basil, oregano etc. Not too strong, pretty nice and delicate in aroma. Flavor has a light and mild touch of mild malt, light fruit, delicate herbs/spices and some esters. Medium body and nice aftertaste in the same direction. Definitively no big beer this, but well made and I really enjoyed this one. Alengrin (5629) - BELGIUM - SEP 15, 2017
France is still lagging behind on decent craft beers if you ask me - with a few exceptions - so these guys relied on a Wallonian brewery to create a blonde quencher for them, also sold in Belgium as it appears; this bottle, of a type I have rarely seen before (only a few new Belgians like François Grand Cru and Galea Grand Cru spring to mind), comes from a Delhaize supermarket. Tightly 'membranous' lacing, snow white, moussy, frothy and audibly crackling, dense head slowly showing gaps in the middle, over a hazy straw blonde beer with vaguely olive greenish hue. Aroma of dry cookies just released from a hot oven, chewing gum, unripe banana, wet "papier maché", fresh milk, pistachio nuts, ripe pear, honey, dry kitchen towels, powder sugar, subtle hints of old dry orange zest, meringue, spoiled melon, plastic, unripe gooseberries. Spritzy, crisp onset, hard green pear-, unripe banana- and light pineapple-like fruitiness drenched in the familiar banana ester but not exaggeratedly so, sweetish and bubblegummy with a soft, very subtle and dim sourish touch to it, quite vividly carbonated as is custom for a Belgian blonde, with a supple but somewhat thinnish mouthfeel. Slick cereally and very soapy middle, some of that 'green' and unripe fruitiness lingering, soft, leading to a mildly spicy soapiness which can only come from coriander, paired with a very gentle, floral, subtly grassy hop bitterish accent - yet not nearly enough to counter the bubblegum and soap effects to a satisfying finish. Plaster- and wet paper-like flavours, even with a somewhat glueish and still explicitly soapy effect, linger after swallowing. It is not a good sign if the French follow the Belgians in conservatism: this is again a very ordinary, sweetish, banana- and coriander-like Belgian blonde, only distinguishing itself from many (but not all) others in its 'plasteriness' and plastic-like effects. A bit weird within this style, I think Saint-Tropez has more charming things to offer than this simple beer, even if it is served from its 'baby champagne' bottle which probably serves to justify charging a price at the lower upper end of the range (which, seen the geographical context, seems commercially logical). We are not amused - and certainly not impressed. France urgently needs to wake up and smell the craft beer. Geokkjer (7643) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 1, 2017

330 ml. bottle split with AdamChandler & Heather. Bafflingly expensive, 750 ml. bottles of these were like 20 euro, this one close to 4 euro (weird). Sparkling golden, creamy white head. Nose is banana, soap & standard BE blond esters. Fizzy, high carbonation. Banana, esters, sparkling, straw, faint soap,... Pretty decent Belgian mainstream blond with no bad flavours, nothing to get excited about. Jerre (3800) - Waregem, BELGIUM - APR 15, 2017
