October 3, 2015 - at Barhop BrewCo, on draught. My first ever rating at BrewCo - proud to have been paying customer #1 at both Bar Hop locations! Hazy pale gold with a decent diminishing off-white head. Aroma of light fruity malt, floral/citrus bitterness, and a little lemon zest; nice acidity with only a hint of bretty funk. Tastes like a pils pale ale blend, but with lemon drop sweet acidity; not much brett revealing itself (7-). Average body, lightly syrupy, decent carbonation - finishes very quickly. Maybe more time for the bugs to work?

A golden orange ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice fruity biscuit malt with light Brett, light fruity esters, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light Brett, light citrus pulp, fruity esters, nice and smooth. On tap at Beau’s Oktoberfest 2016.

Bottle: Poured a hazy amber color ale with a sour large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of spicy minty hops notes with some nice floral notes. Taste is a mix of slightly spicy hops with minty and herbal hoppy notes with nice floral undertones. Body is pretty full with good carbonation. Nice IPA that seems to present a different hos profile that is seems in most IPA.

Slightly hazy pale amber pour. The nose is really tropical. Pineapple and pear with some clean fruity hoppiness. Dry beer with a touch of grassiness on the back. Really bright and expressive. Lovely.

Well well well... Doesn’t taste like an ipa at all. Smells awesome, like sap, herb, juicy, Brett funky. Taste is very Brett, funky, hops are very juicy and actually play second fiddle to the Brett, perfect balance. Bitterness is moderate, aftertaste is complex. Excellent beer, what a surprise!

Interesting IPA here. It’s got a real citrus meets bubble gum/clove like aroma going on. Nice mouth feel, juicy freshness with nice moderate bitter finish.

500 ml bottle from brewery. Pours a murky orange colour with average-sized odd-white head that leaves solid lace. Aroma is funky, tart fruit, some citrus and a grainy malt note. Flavour has lots of Brett funk with some tart peaches, grapefruity hops and grainy maltiness. Carbonation fairly lively. Neat one.

Bottle. Light amber with a billowy off white head. Interesting combination of fresh but mild citrus, slightly funky with brett forward aroma, strong carbonation with a mild body, nice mild tartness on the palate although the bitterness is an odd interplay, Worth trying.

Odd but drinkable IPA. Initially more hop aroma, and the brett character is evident in the end of the bottle. Bottle from the brewery. Lace lines. Overcarbonated and more malt than hop taste, but the bitterness is there on the aftertaste.Bright yellow body.
