COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beautiful rich red-amber in color. Smooth with a hint of sweetness.
This is a mild beer, with a malty toastiness, buttery smoothness and beautiful ruby color. It is a good transition beer, which can be enjoyed by all for its rich yet mellow flavor. According to Michael Jackson, the English beer expert, the amber ale is found in many countries, yet it varies greatly from region to region. Our amber is made with nine different malts, including English Mild, Munich, American 2-Row and Caramalt. London ale yeast is used, and the hops are Mt. Hood and Tettnanger.

Reddish/Brown Hue, lively carbonated with a sweet aroma on the nose. This was from a keg not bottle. Starts out with the caramel malt and munich malt as the main players in this beer. smooth taste follows with a slightly bitter finish that lingers until the next sip, Good Amber Ale overall, something I would go back to every now and then.

A decent amber. Malty and pretty well balanced. Pours darker red, smooth mouthfeel and a caramel body. Tried with Matt and Guy in 2016.

The problem is that the quality is massively variable in this beer. Sometimes its completely flat, sometimes its overly carbonated. Sometimes its a deep thick red, and sometimes its a light clear one. If you get a good batch, its amazing, but you really only have a 50/50 chance of that.

bottle @ Whiteys / Lawrenceburg IN --- (btld 04/16/15) Clear rich brown color, off-white head that drops to a thin cover, hanging strands of lace. Taste is caramel malt that is mildly carbonated, then adds light hops in a medium length finish. The malt has a natural, full-bodied taste and chewy texture. Awfully dark for an Amber Ale, but also polite, inoffensive, and enjoyable.

Tap...dark garnet pour with a fruity nose. Caramel malt body with ripe dark fruit. Finishes quite clean and somewhat dry. Pretty good.

Old notes - on tap at a restaurant while visiting Bloomington in May, 2014. Amber pour with a small khaki head. Light nuttiness in the aroma, doughy, some caramel and toffee, a little earthy. Plain flavor, I wouldnt say offensive, some doughy notes, caramel, mild nuttiness. Not bad.

2oz taster on tap, at HopCat Broad Ripple. Mostly hazy amber color. Thin off-white head. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, light to moderate carbonation. More dry finish. Light roughness. Caramel malt, kind of toasty, lightly spicy. Moderate sweet taste, light bitterness. A light rough bite to the texture. An OK amber
