COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Blowing Rock IPA pours a copper color through the incorporation of 2- Row and other specialty malts. Balanced hop additions provide evident but not overwhelming hop bitterness, while the finishing and dry hops offer an elegant hop complexity. Citrus and floral notes are balanced with a slight hint of caramel maltiness. This beer is full-bodied and flavorful, yet thoughtfully integrated.

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2018 Pours a clear, light copper with a medium tan head that displayed quickly but gives nice lacing. It has a slight pungent/musty aroma. Mild bitterness with a hint of light sweetness. Light to medium body and slightly sticky bigness that doesn’t hang around too long.

Bad can. Clear, light copper pour with a respectable, sticky white head. Slightly candied, slightly powdery, casting central AIPA aroma. Mellow sweetness, the bitterness is woody but ragged. Some hop component brewed too long. Needs work to balance it out. Looks to be the last tick on my 2017-2018 NC New Year's trip. Harris Teeter, Boone, NC.

Can from Harris Teeter, Hampstead, North Carolina. Dark amber with an extremely thin head. Hoppy with a notable strength, a hint of fruit too.

Poured from a can dark Amber with a soapy white head of size. Aroma is caramel malt and a bit sweet. Maybe a whiff of citrus. Taste kind of follows initially, then it drops off and goes quiet before building to a faint bitterness. Malty on the palate. Not much citrus. Bitter aftertaste. Average. Too sweet upfront. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

amber color; fruity hop and bready malt aroma; sweet caramel flavor (not what I am looking for in an IPA) with floral hop notes

Thicker viscous attractive appearance. Nice head. Mild sweet candy perfume aroma. Taste is big giant dull club on the tongue. So medicinal and mouth coating, almost like aged green grapefruit rinds mixed with handsoap. Nasty rude and so terribly on style. Ignore the numbers. I would say this is too far into the imperial IPA style, heheh. No lager lover in his right mind would get anywhere near this stuff. This certainly much more than the 6% listed here.

Draught. Clear amber. Bready, malty, brown sugar aroma. Flavor is malty up front sweet flavor with some peppery hop flavor at the finish. Smooth drinker. Can't wait to see what else this brewery produces in the future. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a can. Nice pour with a decent head. Sniff test left a little to be desired. Not quit as hoppy as I like, but not a bad beer by any means.
