COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As complex as a fine wine (and with about the same kick!), this type of ale has been brewed by Trappist monks for centuries. Special Belgian yeast makes it cloudy with a fruity finish.

pale yellow in color with a big foamy white head. fruity and floral with so much carbonation and fizz it was hard to determine the flavors.

Yellow apperance with a white head that stuck around. Taste was sweet at the beginning and then finished sour. There was something not quite right about this beer.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2011 Served at the Blue Cat Brewpub. Clear golden with a small, bright white head. Fresh banana, clove and honey nose. Clean flavor, soft yeast and banana sweetness with some graham cracker malts. Much better than when I last rated it 7 (!) years ago. Old rating: (2.7 overall) Sampled at Brew Ha Ha 2004. Hazy golden in appearance with a fluffy white head. Yeasty, sour aroma, bordering on skunked (however that could have happened). Yeasty, mellow flavor seems a tad unfinished. Alcoholic, sour finish. A huge disappointment from one of my favorite brewpubs.
