Sampled at GABF 2015. In the sample glass was dark brown, Tan foam. Nose of chocolate and coffee. Some fruit maybe. Medium plus body. Creamy mouth feel. Flavor is rich and full of the chocolate and coffee with the fruit showing up. A good bitter near perfect finish. Very good. I could drink a pint of this in heartbeat.

Beer 30 of NM 100. Nice oaty aroma. Very true to style. My only complaint is a slight cherry flavor. Finishes nicely dry and chalky.

Draft. Dark brown pour with small tan head. Typical malt and coffee notes. Smooth and light body but nothing that really sets this one apart.

On tap at the brewery, pours a mahogany color, with a tan head. Aroma is all chocolate and roast. Full-bodied with a nice level of CO2. Flavors are chocolate, roast, and a little melted black licorice. The finish is clean and smooth (from the oats).
