A malty aroma. Looks nice. Flavor is pretty good, not too heavy or light and a pretty good balance of hops and malts. Tasty. doublebock (558) - California, USA - OCT 8, 2008
Orange amber with thick white head. Sweet hoppy aroma with hints of oak. Strong hopiness balanced with some citrusy Palate a bit water fiulijn (20498) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 19, 2007
Hazy amber color. Aroma of caramel, dry, and nice hops. Weak body, with a good caramel flavor and quite strong bitterness, without exaggerating. The final is caramel and hops too, long and dry. Good. joergen (28142) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 21, 2007
Clear orange coloured with an off white head.
Sweet aroma of caramel, hops, pine needles and liquorice.
Flavour of caramel, hops and pine needles.
Dry hoppy finish.

22-ounce bottle from AliBaba’s. A very good beer indeed: Half inch creamy head in the bottle. Rich cream and nuts throughout. Slight bitterness initially, fading gradually. No sweetness to speak of. Viscous and satisfying. A pleasant surprise for me as I was expecting a little less. Thanks Frog. elnadeau (786) - Laguna Niguel, California, USA - MAY 9, 2008
Bottle from Bevmo. Malt profile offers a caramel & roast profile, hops flavors come through and help with the finish. Overall this is not striking a chord but it’s certainly drinkable. jspruit (122) - Dublin, IRELAND - FEB 1, 2009
Got this 22oz bottle from Redmond’s in Ranelagh knowing that it was new to the shelves.
Pours a amber copper color with a 1.5 finger foamy white head. Sticky lacing stays throughout the drink as it goes down.
Smells of hops, biscuits, and a bit light fruit notes. Very inviting.
Tastes similar to the smell but with a bit more maltiness and bitterness in the hops. Some bready and yeasty flavors come through that are present as it finishes.
Well balanced, although not perfect, and a bit dry for me at the short end. NIce body though and filling.
Tastes more like a red ale than an amber ale too me based on previous ambers that I’ve tried. I will plan on trying other beers from this brewery before coming back to this one for now. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - FEB 3, 2009

Good deep malt flavor the hops behind where very tasty and aromatic. Liked the coloring and the finish. This was a very good beer. The beer was more like a Scottish then a red but it was tasty never less.
Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours reddish black with a thick beige head and a perfumy malt aroma. There is a robust smoked malt flavor with a dry slightly bitter finish.
