On draught at the brewpub in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Pours a hazy salmon/pink brew with a fast dissolving pinkish-white head that dissipates clean. Aroma of maraschino cherry pie filling, some golden grain malt, a hint of honey and some almond. Taste is medium bodied, smooth, with more cherry pie filling flavor that over-powers the honey ale base. Finish is slightly sweet, maraschino cherry aftertaste that slowly disappears after the finish. I prefer the more sour cherry that is the characteristic of most Krieks. The cherry honey blonde is more of a sweet cherry character.
