In short: A straightforward citrusy-piney hop fix. Bright flavors and very tasty. Very good.
How: Growler shared at post HF FoFA 2013 party.
The look: Cloudy golden-orange body topped by a persistent off-white head.
In long: Nose is bright and clean citrusy hops with piney edges. Pleasant clean and crisp mouthfeel with medium body and medium carbonation. Taste is straightforward and very satisfying. A crisp pale malts backbone with relatively low sweetness blending with the hops to create candied and dried fruits flavors. A truckload of citrusy and slightly piney hops with mild resinous undertones. Bitterness of medium-to-high intensity. A simple and very effective hop fix. Another kick-ass beer at FoFA 2013, and an unfortunate side-effect of drinking so much awesome beer in a single day is having to write about drinking so much awesome beer in a single day.

(Growler) Pours a lightly hazy golden body with a small white head. Aroma of weed, herbs, grapefruit, and grass. Flavor of weed, earth, chives, grapefruit, orange, and pine with a dry, bitter finish. So hoppy it will eat the oil off a dirty engine.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2014 Growler: Thanks, Jeff! Bruised orange & rusted copper tones with a foamy, white, micro-bubble head that retains itself really well and leaves nice lacing behind. Aroma is a hop jungle; pine and resin bomb, dank ass hops to the dome... Pineapple express nugs. Hints of orange, grapefruit, and mango. Both tropical and citric... Sticky-icky fruitgasm. Taste includes heavy pine & resin notes, juicy orange, buttered bread, stanky danky hop oils, some sweet papaya and tropical notes... Citrus, tropics, sticky. Bitter finish, only the smallest touch of pale, cracker malt. Grassy-green, faint onion-y aftertaste with dying fruits. Lovely.

$9 growler refill from the source. To oversized snifter, it pours a tannish orange: trim bubbly off-white head barely a fingernail in length. Aromas straight up of pistachios, clementine zest, wool, sweat, candle wax, American hops, and cloves. Some pine bark, candied citrus, and leather, too. Tastes the same with the addition of chives, fabric softener, melon, and yeast by swallow. One word: fun.

Hazy Gold. Nose is orange peels and mulch. Taste is waves of hops that just don’t quit. Persistently bitter and nice balance of malts. Of the Excess serious, this is the clear winner so far. Love how this tastes and want more!

Pours a rich golden color with a finger of eggshell foam. On the nose there is some fruity candied orange sweetness that mingles with some dank herbaceous woody notes. The mouthfeel is smooth and silky with a touch of bubble on the backend...flavors match the nose with more herbaceous woody resin than citrus... really coats the mouth before drying out on the bitter finish.

Draft @ WHYM Craft Beer Cafe. The aroma is musty and dank with earthy and spicy hops with a hint citrus in the background. The taste is similar with plenty of earthy hops with bitterness that doesn’t over whelm your palate. There’s pine tang on the finish but it’s not over resinous. Citrus notes in the flavor just like the nose. Dry zesty, Earthy bitterness that lingers for a good duration. Solid brew.

Growler: The aroma consists of citrus, lemon, grapefruit, pine, and faint tropical fruits. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a small white head that leaves behind some sporadic lacing. The flavor starts with a oranges and tropical fruit. The finish has moderate citrus, grapefruit, and light pine. It’s light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this growler. Pours a golden color with a white head. The aroma is full of a ton of very resinous pine with a hint of biscuit malt and some orange. The flavor is, not unexpectedly, more of the same. The beer is extremely dry with a ton of resinous pine and a hint of orange. Even after taking a drink your tongue is very dry thanks to the hops. Medium bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. Love this beer.
