Thanks to Janni & Rasmus for bringing this can all the way from Mauritius during their honeymoon. Odense Prestige tasting at Jens. Clear offyellow look with fast head and aroma/flavor of corn, malt, good metal, some weak hops and not bad for an international pilsner if tasted very cold close to 0 degrees Celcius.

330ml Bottle at 2. Celler Bierfest. Pours with a clear golden color and a small white head. The nose is malty, with cereals and slightly sweet. Taste follows the nose, but is less intense. Mostly grainynand malty. Easy drinking on a hot day.

jjsint (3316) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 21, 2017
Bottle from Beers of Europe, drunk at home. Clear lager yellow, lots of fizz, hefty white head. Standard look. Aroma’s a bit better than expected: some orange peel and pear with some hay. Taste is sweet and the alcohol, even at 6%, is a bit brash. More fruity notes on the bittersweet finish. Soft carbonation which doesn’t really work. A drinkable lager for sure, and better than I expected, but I doubt I’ll be having this again.

Popular with Mauritians and me on a recent trip there. I’m a bitter drinker but the 6% beer has a nice taste for a lager. Much better than the alternative on the island which is fairly tasteless Phoenix lager. Both beers brewed by Phoenix brewery.

Strong malts in this slightly darker than most lagers of this ilk hints if metal corn quite clean and crisp.
