Cask conditioned at The Wellington, Birmingham. Gold with white head. A very fine beer this, crisp, hoppy with a tangy lime like note, sharp, citrusy and full. I really enjoyed this, it left a lasting and pleasing taste. Great stuff. madmitch76 (25519) - , Essex, ENGLAND - SEP 16, 2012

Cask at the Craft. Clear gold beer, tidy white head. Smooth palate with mild fine carbonation. A little creamy malt supports really good hops. Lovely tangy orange and tangerine with glorious tropical fruits, peach and mango and others, even some red berries. Really nice mix of hop flavours. Finsihes semi dry. Infinity was my new Blue Monkey high just a few mins ago but I’m knocked sideways by this - great stuff!
Gravity at GBBF 2014. Poured a clear, pale golden colour, with a thin white head. Aroma of fresh hops, citrus and mango. Grapefruit hop flavours, with some melon and straw. Finish was lemon, hay and some nice resinous bitterness. A very pleasant surprise. davidbourne35 (12) - - MAR 27, 2012
Bottle 50cl poured into tulip glass. Strong aromatic aromas, slight lemon poured with white head, quickly dropped to good lacing. The taste is hops backed up with a malty body, but the hops are strong enough to give a good kick. Have tried other B/Monkey ales and they are really starting to grow on me. Ape Ale is well worth a try for those looking for a strong pale ale or IPA. iammarc (382) - Inverness, SCOTLAND - JAN 27, 2013
Cask at The Anderson. Light in colour, light in taste. Hay, cereal notes. Hoppy, floral nose. Tremendous!

Bottle from BeerBods (500ml). A lovely woody after taste, medium bitterness, lightly sour, slick feel, and with soft carbonation. Particularly enjoyable (especially given the warm weather) and, as the official description says, it is deceptively quaffable! Scopey (15651) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 13, 2013
Keg, 6% at Lyric Soho. It pours hazy pale golden with a medium white head. The nose is straw, spice, grass, floral, white grape, tangerine and mango. The taste is crisp, floral, straw, grass, mandarin, clementine, nice bitterness and orange sherbet with a crisp, bitter finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Crisp, well-balanced and highly drinkable. Works better on keg than cask for me. Really rather delicious.
