Scopey (14990) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 10, 2013
Cask at CP&K. It pours dark brown with a small beige head. The nose is roasty, coffee grinds, liquorice, wood, light soy sauce and burnt toast. The taste is roasty, burnt toast, salty, touch of dark, scorched earth and liquorice with a rich roasty finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Decent stout, but a touch thinner than I would have liked. anders37 (26699) - Malmö, SWEDEN - SEP 6, 2013

Cask at Market Porter. Deep reddy brown with off-white head. Nice aroma - some bubblegum, smoke, cherry, a touch of coffee. Interesting - a sweet/slightly sour/tart combination of choc, whisky, smoke, coke, rum with a slight medicinal root beer thing too. Pretty good.

A deep brown stout, slightly see through and relatively strong. A sweet aroma of chocolate and caramel with a coffee and toasted malts flavours with a slightly bitter finish but generally smooth and dry. It is framed by a thick creamy off white head. A generally good beer. RichTheVillan (7919) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 11, 2013

Fat. Svart med moccafärgat skum. Soja, lakrits och kaffe i en förvånansvärt svag arom. Mörk choklad, lakrits och en svag rökighet i smaken. Torr munkänsla. jmgreenuk (9533) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - JAN 2, 2013
Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a deep mahogany colour with a thick tan head. The aroma is somewhat weak malty. The flavour is of fruit, liquorice, chocolate and with a nice smooth bitter palate. One of the nicest stouts I’ve ever tasted! BlackHaddock (7410) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - DEC 6, 2012
Hand-pulled half-pint in ’The Wellington’ Birmingham (West Midlands) on 5th Dec 2012.
Stout dark, with a good solid tanned head that produced some impressive lacing on my glass.
As you’d expect from a stout, this was all malts: toasted, semi-burnt malts to be exact. Those malts gave the beer liquorice, chocolate and coffee flavours: in both the nose and taste, all with equal measures, and along with the hop content gave the the beer a good balanced feel.
Nicely put together, sad I could only have the half-pint, but there was more shopping to do according to the lady with me! jackl (8212) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 7, 2012
Cask @ CPK. Deep reddish brown pour with a creamy khaki head. The nose is mild espresso, hazelnut, coffee creamer and mild chocolate. The taste is nutty candy bar, some chocolate syrup. Smooth and very drinkable. Soft. Overall, quite solid. Good stuff! imdownthepub (14755) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 7, 2012
Cask conditioned at The Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell, London. Black with cream head. Rich, malty beer, darkly roasted with charred notes, coffee beans & chocolate then a hint of caramelisation. Bitterness in the finish, pretty decent.
