mr_h (6059) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - MAR 1, 2014
330ml bottle from Beer Hive, Edinburgh - hazy golden amber, small lively white head, yeasty, orange aroma, syrupy marmalade with a good tang, flavoursome, but not too easy to drink

Stuartyboy (1800) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - MAR 1, 2014

JohnRMurdoch (5142) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - MAR 1, 2014
330ml bottle shared with mr_h. Amber brown colour, not much head. Unusual vanilla hop aroma. Orange peel, vanilla & hop flavour, bitter aftertaste. A bit unbalanced and sickly like marmalade.

allmyvinyl (11172) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 24, 2014
330ml bottle. Golden pour, thin white head. Getting some aniseed on the nose, alongside barley orange sweets. Sweet taste and finish too. This must have finished around 1020. Sticky.

AshtonMcCobb (7027) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 24, 2014
33cl bottle from Beerhive. Appearance - golden with a thin lacy head. Nose - tangy orange and yeast. Big malt background. Taste - apricots, mandarines. Orange barley water. Palate - medium to full bodied with a big tangy texture and a relatively fresh finish for the strength. Overall - this is at the start of barley wine territory. We’re talking IPA going into English Strong Ale.

Clear amber beer, little white head. Palate is lightly crisp and semi dry. The malt base has a fair dollop of toffee but remains light. The hops are orange and orange peel marmalade. Finishes smooth and minerally and carries a mellow bitter linger. Quite malty for an IPA but it’s pretty drinkable. Light floral touch as well.

johndoughty (5600) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - AUG 24, 2013
Bottle. Bronze and clear with a small head. Very pleasant hoppy flavour with being overpowering. The hoppiness is powerful but not overpowering. A very interesting and pleasant example of this style.

zacgillbanks (5651) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - AUG 23, 2013
Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This is a golden beer with tropical fruit, citrus and orange marmalade flavours. It has a strong malty body and a rich creamy slight pine finish.

SaintMatty (7603) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - AUG 15, 2013
330ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Melon, peach, mango and grapefruit in the aroma. Hoppy, tangy and crisp taste with notes of melon, grapefruit, sultanas and nectarines.

jamestulloch (4414) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 11, 2013
Aroma: Muted aroma of pine needles and grapefruit.

Appearance: Hazy golden body with a thin off-white head that slowly fades. Light carbonation. Few lacing marks.

Taste: Very resinous. Flavours of pine, honey, alcohol soaked oranges and sweet candy. Mostly sweet with a faint hop bitterness.

Palate: Thin to medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation.

Overall: Quite harsh and raw, but full of flavour. Unfortunately, it’s far too sweet for my liking.
