Pours a very clean, deep red-amber color with a huge, pillowy off-white head. Aroma has a very funky tartness to it, mild sweetness underneath with some toasted malt and caramel notes to finish. Flavor has a very strong blueberry pie filling flavor with some light wheat character later and a slight metallic finish. Body is very light, slightly dry with a modest amount of carbonation. Overall a "meh" beer. I can see the attraction to it as it’s an okay summer beer but nothing I would consider buying/drinking if it weren’t in a mixer pack. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - MAY 21, 2013
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark maroon with a quarter finger of white head. Aroma of blackberries and grains. Taste is light sweet. Artificial blackberry flavor with grains and a little bready caramel. Mwdium bodied with a slightly sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Enjoyable, but nothing crazy. Fech (291) - Parsippany, New Jersey, USA - MAY 11, 2013
I swear there are a lot of uppity Belgian ale loving hipsters on here. This is a nice beer good fruitiness balanced well with light ale flavor. It doesn’t have to taste like wine all the time to be a great fruit-incorporated brew. Shame its limited release. Patrickctenchi (6587) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - MAY 10, 2013
Pours nearly clear, bubbly copper-brown with a whipped tan head.
Almost non-existent aroma....just a little grainy malt.
Taste is generic "berry"...cheap, carbonated wine cooler-ish.
Not tart, not blackberry,.....not much. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - MAY 8, 2013
Bottle. Nose has some blueberry notes in there, but some nasty skunkiness coming through as well. Taste is quite sweet with nothing to balance it out. The blueberry and skunk comes through also. Bleh.

I guess BM is going for the niches. from a variety case. darker beer. no real blackberry smell. taste is not tart and I wish it were. they probably named this beer when it was an idea. quite medicinal. some blackberry in there but comes across like many other fruit beers. decent co2 saves this beer but there are so many other fruit beers out there that are so much better. BillKismet (4057) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 5, 2013
Mahogany amber body with a 1/3/ inch thick cover. Feint berry nose with a decent tartness. The body is of light berries and water. Balanced finish that is ever so mildly tart. nathan30533 (1020) - Clifton, Ohio, USA - MAY 1, 2013
Good tasting flavored ale. Good feel and color. Not really much aroma at all. Good not great. Block (2727) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - MAY 1, 2013
Overly synthetic. It had a slight blackberry aroma but besides that it was just a forced "fruitier" beer. agl108 (1238) - Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 28, 2013
12 oz. bottle. Flavor is a subtle sweet blackberry. Really not much tartness present. Thin bodied. Reasonable effort.
