Fruit beers make me nervous, but this is a subtle, well-done example. Not syrupy or overly sweet. I was impressed.

Pours a surprisingly dark amber color with a disappearing off white head. The aroma is sweet caramelly and bready with strong sweet blackberries. Flavor is the same. Stronger with the blackberries and caramel, wheat...way too sweet. fontjt (77) - Louisiana, USA - SEP 12, 2013
Taste was faint blackberries. The taste doesn’t really come out until you are half way done and then the smell of blackberries start coming in from the with each small sip. It is an amazing beer. dwyerpg (6227) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - SEP 5, 2013
This is actually a pretty good beer. Its not all that fruity or wheaty but quite well balanced. Probably one of the best blackberry beers I’ve had. mrhoppy (1288) - Santa Clara, California, USA - AUG 23, 2013
I was not expecting much but I was suprised that it was not horrible. Faint tart berry nose. Nice reddish brown color. Real blackberry flavor. 5.8% is nice. Malt honey lager yeast.

Aroma is sweet, but not impressive. I expected a little more sweetness and tartness in the taste. Overall just another below average one from Blue Moon. TheBeerGod (6233) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Bottle. Copper pour with a short tan head. Aroma is certainly fruity though I doubt I could pick out blackberries. Smells like berry jam blended with a wheat ale. Taste is sweet and fruity but still no obvious blackberry notes. Berries, wheat, sweet malt and light yeast in the flavor profile. Again and wheat ale with fruit notes. Body is light-medium with a strong bubbly carbonation. Ends with more fruit notes, berry jam and wheat. Not bad but was hoping for a more obvious blackberry flavor and tartness. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a plum-brown color with a medium sized foamy tan head that faded and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was musty and dusty with a bit of bread and berry. The flavor was sweet and tangy blackberry, cardboard, must and hints of bread and cracker. Medium length sweet and tangy berry and must finish. Medium body. Ok. poisoneddwarf (2569) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Rated two nights ago. 12 oz bottle from the summer variety pack. Aroma is doughy, blackberries starting to go rancid, stale Wheaties, generic beer. Pours clear copper with a medium creamy off-white head with good retention. Taste is bland wheat ale with blackberries not as prominent as they should be. Starts out a little sweet before turning a little tart. Mouthfeel is creamy, carbonation is fairly soft, body medium to thin; starts to get pretty flat 3/4 of the way through the glass. Below average crowd pleaser with little substance. nike (966) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 9, 2013
another bottle from my good buddy cheap. I understand these big companies are trying to get onto the niche of the craft beers, but these brews are light, mild, and average at best. But thanks D for the brew!!!
