The aroma was better than the taste. Not a bad fruit beer, but not as refreshing or sweet as the agave beer.

Clear deep rosey amber with a thin off white ring of foam. Nice toffee bready malty base on the nose with a spike of blackberry sweetness. Smooth semisweet flavor that’s blackberry purée and a light little bit of bready toffee malt and slight ambery crystal malts. Not tart at all, just a bit sweet and jammy and malty.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2016 Pours a slightly hazy golden brown from the bottle with bubbly white head that leaves light lace. Aroma of sweet berry fruitiness and wheat. Taste follows, not very tart at all, just a fruity wheat beer really. Meh.

Quick3Beers (1234) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 12, 2015
Pours a slightly hazy copper from a bottle, moderate off-white head. Aroma of dark berries, flavor similar. Chocolate malt is a little out of left field, kind of okay, kind of out of place. Good beer.

Gription79 (2891) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - AUG 10, 2015
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. Pours amber with tan head. The aroma is malty with a hint of fruitiness, light berry notes. The flavor is very similar to the aroma. There is a woody, seed like flavor. No tartness.

Pretty much as described. Blue Moon style wheat beer with fake tasting blackberry flavor. You know what it tastes like already.

Hey, you know what a good idea would be? Pour a bunch of sickeningly sweet fruit on top of sickeningly sweet wheat on top of sickeningly sweet malt. We’ll call it tart because it’s got just a pinch of tartness, like 1% tart, 99% sickeningly sweet. If there’s one in the back of your fridge, it’s drinkable. It’s not good beer, though. Mostly, yuck.

degbert (1773) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUL 27, 2015
Bottle. Pours an unimpressive brown with a thin, tan head. Nose is a distant skunk in a low-yield blackberry patch. On the tongue -- it’s an average amber ale that someone might have once hit with a blackberry. No, seriously, where’s the blackberry? They said there was a blackberry in here! Lying Miller/Coors bastards.

Strangebrewer (1308) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 22, 2015
Bottle. Poured clear very dark amber with a thin creamy tan head. Aroma of rich earthy malt. Medium body, creamy carbonation with a syrupy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet and malty, dark fruit and roasted notes coming though with a slight tart finish.

12 oz bottle. Best by 10/19/15. Pours clear brown, egg cream colored head. Aroma is sweet blackberry and blueberry, very malty and sweet. Brown ale malt character. Flavor is not really tart. Not sure why it’s called a tart ale. It’s just sweet really. Sweet black and blueberry, some mild cinnamon and nutmeg notes. It’s not offensive but it’s not particularly good.
