Great beer. You get the nice ale flavor with just a touch of tartness from the blackberry without being overpowering. It's enough to make the taste just right.

Taste was faint blackberries. The taste doesn’t really come out until you are half way done and then the smell of blackberries start coming in from the with each small sip. It is an amazing beer. Fech (291) - Parsippany, New Jersey, USA - MAY 11, 2013
I swear there are a lot of uppity Belgian ale loving hipsters on here. This is a nice beer good fruitiness balanced well with light ale flavor. It doesn’t have to taste like wine all the time to be a great fruit-incorporated brew. Shame its limited release. JPDurden24 (1675) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - JUL 12, 2012
Gold pour, white head. Lots of blackberries and some wheat and light tartness on the nose. Flavor is pretty good and has tart and berries in there. Pretty good stuff. ellolovey (483) - Georgia, USA - MAR 27, 2013
12 oz bottle from the seasonal mixed 12. Ours a translucent ruby color with a thin purplish white head. Aroma is of wheat and a subtle blackberry. Taste is loaded with blackberries and wheat. Some flowering notes as well. Good carbonation and very refreshing. This is going to be a good one for those warm summer nights.

Bottle. Poured clear very dark amber with a thin creamy tan head. Aroma of rich earthy malt. Medium body, creamy carbonation with a syrupy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet and malty, dark fruit and roasted notes coming though with a slight tart finish. Darkmagus82 (2302) - - SEP 8, 2014

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – Pours an amber color with hints of a purplish tint running through. Upon pouring there is a one finger white head that fades rather fast to leave a light level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a blackberry smell with some notes of a bready aroma mixed within. Along with these aromas are more subtle aromas of a more grassy and spiced aroma.
Taste – The taste begins big of a sweet blackberry taste that largely dominates the tastes of the brew. There is a bit of a bready flavor that is present upfront that over times loses its strength. As the flavor advances more toward the end, more blackberry sweetness comes to the tongue as well as a little bit of a sour flavor leaving a very sweet and smooth blackberry flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is on the medium side with a carbonation level that is on the average side as well. While a little more carbonation may have better suited the sweet and smooth flavors of the brew, it was overall a rather refreshing feel on the tongue.
Overall – Sweet and rather refreshing, although not tart like the name would imply (well maybe a very little bit at the end). The flavors are on the simpler side and would make for a nice drinker on a hot summer day, while outside chatting with friends.

Clear deep rosey amber with a thin off white ring of foam. Nice toffee bready malty base on the nose with a spike of blackberry sweetness. Smooth semisweet flavor that’s blackberry purée and a light little bit of bready toffee malt and slight ambery crystal malts. Not tart at all, just a bit sweet and jammy and malty. daknole (11044) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 28, 2012
Rich golden pour, nice big white head. Aroma is loaded with blackberries, nice tart aromas, wheat and yeast. Flavor is a really good blend of sweet/tart and juicy berries. Actually pretty nice. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - MAY 21, 2013
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark maroon with a quarter finger of white head. Aroma of blackberries and grains. Taste is light sweet. Artificial blackberry flavor with grains and a little bready caramel. Mwdium bodied with a slightly sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Enjoyable, but nothing crazy.
