bottle. Poured clear medium amber with a moderate frothy beige head. Spicy malt aroma. Medium body, actively carbonated, crisp mouthfeel with a warming finish, a bit astringent. Roasted malt flavour, caramel notes with some nutmeg spice. A nice winter warmer. two7offsuit (448) - Massachusetts, USA - JAN 1, 2014
Pours Amber in color with a thin white head. Aromas and flavors of Apple caramel and hints of cinnamon. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JAN 1, 2014
Bottle:   Amber with a bright copper hue, thin frothy white head, little lacing.   Has a soft cinnamon apple spice to the nose, but very soft... too soft.   Soft malty start, touch of cinnamon, apple spice (like a candle), and very pale breadiness.   This one is the softest out of all the winter Blue Moons.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Perhaps a touch of apple cider on the finish, with a touch of nutmeg or cinnamon in it.   Very soft example.   Wished it had more caramel sweetness and body to it.   Uneventful. arminjewell (9584) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - DEC 29, 2013
Pour out of 12 oz bottle, clear orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, slight vanilla, honey, hints of earth, slight green apple. Taste is a mix of green apple, earth, caramel, vanilla, finishing fairly sweet. COMRADEJOSH (320) - Gainesville, Florida, USA - DEC 4, 2013
as far as the herb spice beer catagory goes this is christmas in a bottle. a lot of spice aroma and multiple spices on the palate. i get a hint of the caramel and apple. but take this for what it is a seasonal spice beer and personal preference is key to enjoyment. i like it but no wonder i love pumpkin spice lattes too.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Maierovicz’s place. Thanks beerandbeyond. Clear orange-amber. Aroma of caramel, cinnamon and some furitiness. Sweet flavor with caramel, cinnamon and a slightly drier and spicier finish. Medium-bodied. ronaldtheriot (1918) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - NOV 23, 2013
Blue Moon Caramel Apple Spiced Ale has a very thick, creamy, cream-colored head, a clear, bubbly, copper appearance, and a fairly good amount of lacing left behind. The aroma is of spices, breads, and some juice. Taste is very spiced, juicy, bready, and sweet- certainly flavorful. Also, there is a nice grain aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium and a bit slick, and Blue Moon Caramel Apple Spiced Ale finishes mostly dry, sweet, somewhat cloying, and easily drinkable. Overall, this is good, and it is outstanding for a flavored beer.

Again, virtually the same as the pumpkin and other spiced beers by Coors, only this one claims to have apple and caramel and there’s none of that going on here so I lowered the score even though it tastes more or less the same as the others. jgb9348 (6187) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - NOV 11, 2013
Deep amber coloured body with a nice thinnish just off-white head. Aroma of oddly enough - light spices, apples, caramel, toffee and quite a bit of brown sugar. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong sweet flavours at first with a big cardboardie malt note then showing quite a bit of caramel sweetness and an odd medicinal flavour. Aftertaste shows the funky cardboardie, stale malt then a lot of brown sugar and deep sweetness and some light spices tucked in at the very end. Overall, an interesting and rather strong caramel and sweetly spiced beer - not very good, but interesting and perhaps worth a try if you like these types of beers, especially seasonally. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased and pulled from a Blue Moon Twelve Pack, purchased from Giant in Arlington, Virginia after a hockey game on 09-October-2013 - Thanks Kevin!
