Poured up a copper color and had a very nice spice smell that made me think of christmas. The smell alone was very good and the taste did not disappoint either. The cinnnamon and nutmeg are very noticable with a fair amount of caramel maltiness. The apple is very faint but that is probably a good thing or it might have come out a bit cider like. This one I think is the best Blue Moon I have tried so far. Would like to find it alone and not just in sampler packs. This one would be great around the holidays. kidobutai (698) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - SEP 15, 2013
Definitely an original. Subtle fruity aroma. Good head and slight lacing. Zero bitterness, creamy textures, nice fruit flavors but wish there was more spice. TomTiedemann (250) - Levittown, New York, USA - SEP 7, 2013
Pours a light colored amber, with a light hint of caramel spice aroma. First sip is smooth ale of caramel and sour apple hints. mcdav2154 (448) - GERMANY - OCT 13, 2012
Pours clear amber with a frothy cream head that leaves quickly. no lacing. smell of apple and malts. Creamy and smooth mouthfeel. Taste is well balanced. not too sweet as feared. Clean finish. VatMasterson (71) - Texas, USA - SEP 5, 2013
Pours light amber, actually keeps a slight bit of lacing, more than most seasonals do. Good spiced caramel apple malt like advertised though I would like a big bold knock you on your ass sweet beer just once. I wish I could double the strength of this one. I like it would buy it again but maybe in the fall, its a little early for spicecake on Sept 5!

Definitely has an apple and cinnamon flavor. I don’t get too much sweetness or caramel flavor, a slightly bitter hoppiness, instead. Thisis12ptfont (1215) - Los Angeles, CA, California, USA - SEP 28, 2012
Sweet caramel malts and apple on the nose. Dark amber color with no foam. Bittersweet caramelized sugar and apple flavors with some oats and weat in the back. Overall, this is a decent yet, unique ale with sweet caramel, sugar and apple overtones. I’d give this a B- rating. ronaldtheriot (1980) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - NOV 23, 2013
Blue Moon Caramel Apple Spiced Ale has a very thick, creamy, cream-colored head, a clear, bubbly, copper appearance, and a fairly good amount of lacing left behind. The aroma is of spices, breads, and some juice. Taste is very spiced, juicy, bready, and sweet- certainly flavorful. Also, there is a nice grain aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium and a bit slick, and Blue Moon Caramel Apple Spiced Ale finishes mostly dry, sweet, somewhat cloying, and easily drinkable. Overall, this is good, and it is outstanding for a flavored beer.

Perfect for a fall seasonal however, rather reminiscent of pumpkin pie beers. The apple is mild, and it’s mostly spice that you’ll note, but it’s a drinkable beer. DrinkEmUpJones (1069) - Georgia, USA - DEC 22, 2012
Nose is light with baking spice aromas. Medium bodied with flavors of apple, caramel malt, cinnamon ans nutmeg. Reminiscent of a cider, but not sweet. Interesting and surprisingly quite good!
