Pours really light yellow. Wine notes waft into the nose. Taste is initially kind of thin. Beer is practically non-existent. A little wine coolery. CheersMate (1343) - Portland (Sellhood), Oregon, USA - AUG 20, 2011
Bottle from QFC. I only seem to purchase this type of shit when I’m completely loaded, but I digress to discuss the actual beer. So, what to say, what to say? Oh, right. It doesn’t have much of a head. It’s diaphanous appearance is completely disappointing. Looks pretty damn boring to me. A nice whiff of this provides me with a wonderful aroma of artificial grape. You know, like Smuckers-type shit. It has a grape flavor, as well. It’s relatively dry, in comparison with other wheats, but quite honestly, in absolute terms not so much. Really the grape juice flavor is all that I’m getting. Ok, ok, I am getting a few wine-like qualities, but that doesn’t mean I like this beer. Just another Blue Moon gimmick. kyantee (2) - Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA - AUG 17, 2011 does not count
A beer for dinner for those who don’t like wine. One can imagine someone with a cigar in one hand and a glass of wine in the other. In this beer you have the wine flavor that is not over-powering. Not the type of beer one would chug but rather injoy the flavors. madmitch76 (25568) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 17, 2010
10th October 2008. GABF. Leaving the hall at the end of the session a Blue Moon rep pounced with this beer so what the hell! Pale gold beer. Light crisp palate. More than a bit surprised to find the grapes do give this beer a winey slant and with the crisp palate it is a decent beer. Just wish I’d tried their Peanut Beer now.... GABF 09. Pours a light dull golden with a fizzy head. Aroma is metallic, overly sweet- DMS, fruity, chardonnay must, skins and old off white wine. Flavor is slick and sweet, grapeskin, chemical, dms- unfermented grape juice as well as sweet malt extract twang- ugh.

Sample at GABF 2009. Pours a clear yellow to golden color with thin white head. Aroma is bread, wheat, yeast, fresh wine, light citrus, honey. Flavor is about the same. Light to medium body with a watery finish. nickd717 (4886) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 13, 2009
On tap at GABF 2009. Girlfriend wanted to try this. Clear pale golden-yellow color with a small white head. Aroma is white wine, spice, grain, and citrus. Flavor is, well, a lot like chardonnay. White wine stands out, fairly sweet but not overly so, with some light fruit notes and a little grain and spice. Finishes a little dry and crisp with medium-light body. Not too bad, better than regular Blue Moon for sure. JoeMcPhee (9550) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 22, 2009
Tap at Studio Square. Very pale golden-straw coloured beer. Creamy white head. The nose is almost non-existent. Just a light kiss of straw and a fairly bright citrusy tartness that I can only assume is coming from the grapes. Very light but I can’t say it is uninteresting. Tart and a little bit fruity, but the fruit seems vineous and quite attenuated. It really does come across like a mix of light wheat beer and crisp tart white wine... which isn’t nearly as bad as it sounds. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - AUG 25, 2009

Hoppy aroma. Clear golden coloured fruity and hoppy with a crisp slightly dry and creamy malt finish. Bockyhorsey (2638) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - JUL 14, 2009
Hand bottle shared by hellbilly at his holiday tasting. Spicey grain aroma. Yellow body with white head. Grainy flavor with hint of spice and a touch of maybe lemon think it says. Blah in bigger letters think someone else wrote that on my paper.
