This was awesome! All the great flavors of regular blue moon, but with a grape/wine sweetness as well. Really good.
Vintage 2012. Minneapolis
Cloudy and golden-orange. Grainy aroma with furry notes.
A little off, but still kind of good.

Backlog rating on 9-14-2012 at Cap n’ Cork Covington Plaza, Fort Wayne, IN, beer tasting. This bottled beer’s appearance is a small white head, pale yellow transparent body, very little carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is white grapes, fruity, citrus, wheat, and yeast. The flavor is sweet, white grapes and wine. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is medium bodied. This beer is very quaffable and the 8.5% ABV is well masked. subsonic (85) - Pataskala, Ohio, USA - DEC 27, 2013
"Pours a hazy gold with a small quick-fading bright white head. The aroma dominated by grapes with a touch of honey and light spice. The taste is all grapes up front followed by some banana sweetness, lemon, and light clove on the finish. The mouthfeel has moderate carbonation and a slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Overall it’s tasty and refreshing with big Chardonnay grape flavor and just a hint of booze. Nice high ALC of 8.5% it’s hidden well. drowland (9184) - Georgia, USA - JUL 16, 2013
Bottle sampled at Jax Beer Fest 2013 as Blue Moon Vintage Blonde. Random tick off my wants list thanks to this re-labeling. Hazy golden pour with a small off-white head. Light bready malts, esters, phenolics, and some sweet winey aspects. Overly sweet, fruity, malty. Meh. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - APR 10, 2013
June 2012. From a 750 ml. bottle labeled as Blue Moon Vintage Blonde Ale 2012. Pours hazy golden color with a nice white head. Aromas are straw, citrus and spice. The chardonnay doesn’t really show through, but a very drinkable beer.

Interesting offering. Aromas of malt, yeast, and grapes. Sweet flavor maybe a bit heavy on the grape juice but still respectable I would still try it again. I wonder if cellaring this one would help it evolve a bit. DuffMan (10751) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 22, 2013
Bottle, shared with Ian and Colin over a game of Power Grid. Lager-like pour, medium gold, average head, poor retention. Aroma is sweet, perhaps suggestive of white grape juice, but mostly sweet grains. Flavour is sweet, like soda, like Canada Dry ginger ale mixed with a basic sweet lager. Not my thing at all, not even as a summer beer. Drain pour actually. cubs (10740) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 5, 2013
Bottle @ home picked up at Wilbur’s Foco a while back. Bottle titled Vintage 2012. Pours a touch hazy yellow appearance with a dissipating white head. Somewhat zesty/spicy, white wine, grape, pear, a bit musty aroma. Fairly sweet malty, a bit sugary, white grape, apple, pear, light banana, somewhat tangy flavor. Fairly decent but kind of a one-dimensional fruit bomb that’s not even that dry. FROTHINGSLOSH (8291) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 5, 2013
Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a clear yellow-gold color with a medium sized soapy/foamy white head that faded quickly and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweetish and had touches of wood and chardonnay. The flavor was tangy sugar, candied grapes and a touch of cardboard. Medium length tangy sugar and grape finish. Moderately full bodied. Decent. jeremytoni (3085) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - FEB 5, 2013
From a bottle poured a straw color with a small amount of head. Light sweet malty flavor with a quick finish.
