Blue Moon Honey Blonde Ale's deep golden color is the result of a brewing process that starts with Munich and caramel malts and Perle Hops, and finishes with clover honey to produce a brew that has a balanced taste and a sweet malt finish.

Though retired, here are my notes on this one. It was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a cloudy golden yellow color with a transparency that allowed some carbonation to be seen rising. There was a one finger white foamy and bubbly head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing sliding into the beer. The smell had some honey with a cardboard aroma. The taste was sweet and grainy with a light corn flavoring. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a decent sessionability if I could look past the cardboard aroma. Overall, I didn’t really care for the smell or taste as it really doesn’t do much for me. Probably be best if this stayed retired.

12oz bottle (Old Notes)-Pours a golden with a white head. Aroma of grains, honey, and slight hops. Taste of the same. This light bodied brew surprised me as I was not expecting much.

This was not to much on flavor, very light with a barely noticeable honey character.

Not a bad honey blonde. However I haven’t seen this in stores for the past 2 years. Beer has a golden honey taste with a malty head. Nice beer

Blue Moon Brewing Company--Honey Blonde Ale--1997 12 oz. Bottle. 5.20% ABV. (3.0 / 5.0) Blonde Ale--Light straw amber color. Clear with light head. Nice richness to light flavorful slightly sweet crystal malt body. Dry honey finish with touch of hops. Sampled 3/18/1999.

I was surprised that I liked this beer because I do not like most of the Blue Moon products. It has a smooth taste. Certainly refreshing, and nice alcohol content, for a summer day.

Smells alright. It does taste a little like honey. Like Blue Moon, but a better beer.

Light golden color with a large white head. Citrus in aromas. Sweet and heavier than the original Blue Moon. Otherwise pretty similar in profile.

Pale gold, dense white head. Aromas of orange, honey, wheat predominate. Fuller-bodied than expected, oily & viscous, bitter throughout, sour through the finish, finishes zestfully and long with sweet & sour sparring, honeyed flavor lingers. Nice.

I didn’t like this beer as much as the original blue moon whit beer. However, this is still decent. Poured a golden blond color with a white, one finger head. This is pretty decent swill for the price but I think one could do better.
