COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale Moon is a drinkable pale ale that has a distinctive hop aroma without the lingering aftertaste. This Belgian-Style Pale Ale is brewed with European malts, Cascade hops, and a touch of hibiscus and orange peel. These ingredients create a rich copper colored ale with a flavor complexity that one would expect from the Blue Moon Brewing Company.

Copper body with a thin white head that had some lacing but not much. Aroma had nice biscuit notes but thats it, no real fruit notes or any other malt notes to it for that matter. Flavor had some fruit to it and some bread notes, it was very watered down.

Orage-copper color with cream-white head. Fruity, gain, grass flavor. Good beer.

Fruity aroma with a hint of evergreen hops. Orange pour with a creamy white head and lace. Medium malt, Belgian yeast, and a medium light bitter. Decent carbonation and medium bodied. Pretty solid drinkable beer.

Bottle... Clear, deep golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. The mostly fruity aroma also provides notes of toffee and honey. Light to medium-bodied. Unbalanced. Nice biscuity flavor, but a little too sweet for me. Finishes sweet with toffee and honey lingering on. Not offensive at all, but there’s nothing “Belgian” about this beer. I didn’t pick up any of the hibiscus or orange peel - of course, my neighborhood has hibiscus all over the place and I have yet to pull any aroma from it - so take that for what it’s worth. However, to me, this beer is much more reminiscent of an amber ale or English pale ale than anything at all within the Belgian family of styles. Thanks to Kevin for giving me this bottle at my 40th birthday party in Morgantown, WV!

Bottle from Liquor Stop in Highland, IN. Poured a clear deep copper body with a sickly white head. Very sweet malt aroma with some light floral scents. Honey sweet taste with a touch of citric bitterness. Gassy. Not worth complete sentences. Inoffensive.

Pours a light amber color with a moderate head. Hoppy aroma that drinks smooth and finished with a hint of hops. Nothing spectatular but certainly drinkable.

12oz bottle from Publix Supermarkets (Tampa, FL). Pours a dark yellow amber color with a thin white head. Aroma is floral and hoppy with notes of honey, grass, citrus, and spice. Flavor is much of the same with notes of floral hops and grapefruit. Generally light-bodied with a hoppy finish.

Bottle from a party last night. Beautiful copper color with a foamy off-white head. Nice aromas of citrus and other fruit. Medium body minus with some sprightly carbonation. A little light in the flavor department. Touch of citrus zest, and some rough light roast caramel. A bit gummy in the finish. Good enough to drink. Pretty weak for a Belgian.

Lithy, thanks for this. Amber pour, off white head. Aroma is grainy, fruity and some mild hops. Flavor is a tad sweet wtih some light hops and a lot of grains. Really not as bad as you might think. Pretty smooth even though it lacks some punch in the flavor dept.

12 oz bottle from a mixed pack purchased at Frugal MacDoogal’s in Nashville. Poured a clear orange color with a three finger off white head. Aroma was of cheerios and citrus. The flavor was malty with a bit of caramel and citrus. This was better than I expected. Not something I would buy again mind you, but better than expected.
