COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Take the Time to Taste This Tantalizing Tongue-Twister. Our brewmaster Keith has always wanted to brew a beer that paired well with his favorite Thai dishes. He landed on using lemongrass and basil, but a mixup in the order yielded the brewery a bunch of extra basil. Instead of letting it go to waste, Keith added it in just to see what would happen. The outcome was a roundhouse kick of basil with a citrus punch that worked so well it left Keith literally Tongue Thai-ed. Limited Availability. 22-oz. bottles.

Not the best, but I give Blue Moon an "A" for the effort of attempting to produce something different.

Enjoyed this. Very unique. Aroma of lemongrass, basil and tangerine. Pretty golden orange color. Medium weight and lower carbonation. Strong flavor of basil which added a nice herbal sense with a background of citrus. Well blended.

Bottle courtesy of quag. Aroma is lemongrass and basil and anise. Taste is intensely spices with chinese five spice type flavor coming out your ears. This is really bad.

Bomber form Kenny Road Market ($1.99). Orange pour, white head. Aroma of basil, cilantro, other thai spices (I assume), honey. Tastes of sweet malt, lemongrass, pepper, basil, honey. It’s all a little much.

Conyers, Ga - Sigman Bottle Shop - 22 oz bomber, Pours a slightly hazy dark copper, soft, pillowy white head with a fair bit of lacing. Aroma has a nice spicy bent to it with a definite Thai twist to it. Probably is lemongrass - just not all that familiar with it to pick it up. Flavor is refreshing with nice spicy bent to it. Pick up some ginger, a hint of licorice, some basil and mint. Mouthfeel has a pleasant thickness to it. Much better than expected.

Basil and lemongrass, as advertised. Is it Thai basil? I can’t tell. Anyway, it’s very gimmicky and could have used a bit more subtlety, but it’s pretty good regardless. I appreciate the effort.

marcus (10222) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAR 10, 2014
Bottle shared by beerboxer. Pours clear reddish copper with a tiny beige head and a licorice and basil aroma. There is a medium-bodied caramel malt flavor with some basil and lemongrass. Fairly complex.

22 oz. bottle shared by TURDFERGUSON. Thanks, Sam! Nice wale game, bro. Pours a gold color with a small white head. The lemongrass and basil actually come together more like anise and ginger in the nose, with some pepper, honey, orange, and caramel. Really unusual. Light-bodied, with a sweet, dry, spicy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Worth trying for the novelty alone.
