Sweet, very smooth slightly toasted malt flavor. Touch of wheat and yeast and a tiny bit of spice. Fairly restrained flavor for a Belgian but that’s probably to make it more approachable. Not bad though.

actually quite enjoyed this, then I drank an Affligem blond. No comparison but too bad.

Its like a very light chimay grand cru. Better than I expected, but still not impressive at all.

A brownish-amber pour with an off-white head. It has a toasty aroma with some caramel. The light body has a crisp texture with lively carbonation. The taste is sweet with a fairly quick finish. A little light, but pretty good.

12 oz. bottle from a mix-pack that I purchased at the store. Fucking keyboard is all sticky from some beer that I spilled on it. Not much head to speak of. Light raisin and yeast in the aroma. Sweet smelling, and fairly pungent. Fairly carbonated, for a Belgian ale. Raisin, yeast, and a touch of sugar sums it all up. There’s not much going on here, and the beer falls flat, flavor wise. All in all, it’s Blue Moon, and I didn’t expect much.

Draft. Aroma of cinamon, caramel nalts and spice. Medium dark amber brown hue with an off white avg head that left oik lace. Flavor is medium sweet. Palate is watery average. Overall another step up for coors but still under average.

Bottle at GABF. Pours a deeper copper with an offwhite head. The nose is quite fresh. Mild ester and phenol notes, some clove and white pepper but faint. Caramel as well. Still, muted overall. On taste, there is some light hop character and slight caramel forward note. Still kind of bland but not a train wreck. Meh.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2011 11/21/11. 12oz bottle from the winter 12pk... how is this different than the Full Moon they used to make? Hope I didn’t just ruin a bunch of ticks for people. Clear amber/red pour with a small khaki head that fades fast, sticks a little, and barely laces. Light aroma of caramel, metal, and a touch of spice. Sweet caramel flavor with a surprising amount of chocolate and roast in there, along with another metallic kick. Lingering sweet caramel and metal as well. Bleh.

Bottle. Pours a dark reddish brown with big off-white head that quickly disappears. Aroma of sweet caramel malts. Taste is very, very sweet. Brown sugar, caramel malts, and toffee in the finish dominate. Smooth, but a bit thin. OK, but a bit too sweet for my taste.
