(US backlog 2012) 8x draught sample flight at VA brewpub 14/ix/12. Indicated strength 6,6%. I suppose this version was still on draught during late summer 2012 and not a 2012 reserve? One of the more distinct brews in the flight due to clear hop profile and crisp and clear malt/yeast balance. Reminiscent of a lighter Duvel Citra (although apparently Cascade used), which is never a bad thing. tia (2228) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - APR 13, 2012
Tap. Hazy amber with no real head. Smells lightly piney and orangey. Flavor follows. Nice and refreshing. Light dry finish. obguthr (6666) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - APR 4, 2012
Funk and lemon zest aroma, moderate strength. Clear amber, thin head. Flavor is a good level of funk, lemon, and orange. Orange peel finish. A very nice BPA. RABinCO (1707) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAR 16, 2012
Very balanced belgian. Pours a beautiful, deep amber. On tap at the brewpub you can’t beat the fresh hop flavor (they’re grown on site). Excellent for a mild spring day. Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 9, 2012
Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium sized frothy head. Decent head retention. Aroma of topical notes, stone fruits, earthy and herbal notes and a slight tartness. The taste is tropical and stone fruits, citrus and earthy notes. Medium bodied.
