Boo! Has there ever been a better feeling then when you were a kid spiriting around the neighborhood in a white sheet with a bucket of candy bars? No, not really. But we figured if we loaded up an Imperial pumpkin ale with natural chocolate flavor from cocoa nibs and stick it in a bourbon barrel for a few months it might come pretty close.

Nice murky orange amber color when poured. Very full flavor without tasting too "thick". Dark chocolate undertones are a nice aftertaste. Wife liked it.

Bottle:   Thanks Bert!   Caramel colored, moderate to large foamy pale caramel, so-so lacing.   Definiate cocoa and bourbon aged pumpkin on the nose.   Smells fairly inviting.   Soft cocoa on the tongue, mild pumpkin spices (strong but not bright), with a little caramel and Bourbon on the backside.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Cocoa comes to the back as it warms up.   Even a bit of vanilla makes an appearance.   Pretty tasty overall.

clear amber color; no pumpkin in the aroma - cinnamon and oak; very mild pumkin flavor and pie spices; notes of oak and bourbon; as much as I detest pumpkin beers, this one is not bad

750ml bottle. Poured a hazy, dark brown-amber color with a huge, huge, huge head. Was initially worried about infection because it was almost all foam, and the bottle kept slowly foaming over for at least 15 minutes. Aroma was light chocolate notes, with some mild pumpkin spices. Light sweet cocoa nib notes, light barrel notes. I actually really liked this one despite being a slow gusher.
