COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Behold the subtle power of a beer whose simplicity of elements belies its complex spirit. Pilsener malt, noble Hallertau hops, lager yeast, and deep well water. By scaling up these simple ingredients we’ve turned the German pilsener "imperial" and made one of the world’s most refreshing styles of beer bigger, rounder and even more enjoyable.

dmac (6429) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - JUN 30, 2013
750ml bottle from Spirits Red Bank. Poured s chunky orange body with a smaller foamy off white head. Aroma was big and boozy with wet dough, grapes, wet nut shells, old wet grains. Full bodied with a boozy finish and lots of chewiness and heat along with strong carbonation. Flavor isnt much different than aroma, booze, wort, grains, and grapes. Not a good beer and definitely not good for the price.

decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAY 26, 2014
Pale yellow pour with white head. Light floral hops and malt on the nose. Sweet start with a nice floral bitter finish. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Decent drinker

Bottle - 750mL corked and caged.Hazed gold with a tall, dense white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with flora and grassy hops, fruit notes and soft funky yeast. Doesn’t really smell like a pilsener or an imperial pilsener. Kind of smells like a Belgian beer or at least uses a funky Belgian yeast. Taste is sweet malt, toasted grains, soft honey, dusty yeast notes, grassy hops, light floral notes and fruit notes. Body is medium with a strong, dense carbonation. Finishes with more sweet malt notes, fresh fruit, floral hops, grassy notes, light biscuit malt and dusty yeast. I’ll rate the beer as it is irrespective of style.

superspak (5877) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - JUL 17, 2013
750 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before June 2014 on the cork. Pours lightly hazy golden amber color with a 2-3 finger dense white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big lemon, pear, apple, pepper, floral, bread, honey, cracker, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with great balance of malt, hop, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, pepper, floral, bread, cracker, honey, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of light fruits, pepper, floral, bread, honey, cracker, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice balance and good complexity of earthy hops, malt, and fruity ester flavors; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly slick, smooth, and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Imperial pils! All around nice balance of hop, malt, and fruity ester flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. My first from this brewery and it made a big impression.Golden and clear with a small head. Unusual, creamy and slightly fruity taste. I still struggle with the idea of an imperial pils but if there are any more like this then bring them on. Excellent.

Aniela (4216) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 29, 2013
Draught at the Gingerman at the Blue Mountain Event NYC sept 2012. Clear pale golden beer with a small offwhite head. Hoppy aroma. Hoppy, a bit sweet and fruity flavour.

bartlebier (4118) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - JUL 4, 2013
(US backlog 2012) 8x draught sample flight at VA brewpub 14/ix/12. Actually enjoyable US-gargantuan, imperial take on modest old-world Pilsner, like a well-hopped (Saaz) and actually drinkable Faxe. Heavy though - when in the US and in need of hops and +7% ABV, this is a hard bargain against any decent IPA.

Butters (4063) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JUL 31, 2010
Preety nice clear pale yellow pour. Nose is swweet mildly buttery hops. Flavor is a little diacytly. And floral hops. A little astringent. Not bad, but nothing too special here.

weihenweizen (4042) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - JAN 14, 2016
Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle poured into a glass. Cloudy orange with medium white head. Aroma is yeasty, medium body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is orange and yeasty.

teddybeer (4038) - Madrid, SPAIN - FEB 7, 2014
From my backlog. Golden colour with a frothy white head with good duration and nice lacework. Aroma is malty with fruity notes and some citrus hints. Flavor is slightly sweet at the beginning, good maltiness, fruity and floral traces are also present. The final is slightly bittery with some creamy notes.
