Pours a dark brown with a cola-like fizzy head that fades to nothing in seconds. Brown sugar, coconut, vanilla, and chocolate on the nose. Moderately thick mouthfeel. Rich flavor. Sweet, but not too sweet. Toffee, coconut, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, oak, butter, and brown sugar flavors. Plenty of booze as well. The rich butteriness persists after the finish. Leaves much to be desired aesthetically, but the olfactory and taste senses are more than satisfied.

Flavor is sweet dried fruit start with a very subtle warmth that passes through you like a ghost on a creepy dark night. Bourbon barrel and vanilla along for the ride as well. 2 oz. sample at Liquor Express. Muddy brown color, with a tan ring. The nose is big vanilla and coconut, cocoa, rum, and light dustiness. Very sweet with a warming booziness. Light bitterness, which adds a little balance. Very heavy body, creamy, syrupy, and slick. This is a very tasy, bourbon forward, and immense beer.

650 mL. 2014 vintage pours out a nearly opaque mahogany with ruby highlights. Thin creamy foam leaves a sugary frosting on the glass. Nose has dark toffee, chocolate, figs and bourbon. Tastes of dates, chocolate, plum, earthy caramel, smoky oak, vanilla and merlot. Heavy body is smooth with a low-medium carbonation. Definitely a dessert beer but enough dryness to be quite drinkable. Just a nice warmth from the big, well disguised abv.
