650 ml. Opaque black body is one inch tall with a head that marvelously keeps growing like The Incredible Hulk, even minutes after a soft pour! Five minutes later there is still a seven inch, ice cream float topping (some on the side of the pint) and (almost) a two inch body of liquid. Meanwhile the remainder is foaming out of the bomber. I’m realizing now that it’s actually an amazingly lucky feat that this one wasn’t a gusher right out of the bottle. Aroma is dry yeast, caramel cola, coffee and light citrus. Flavors of coffee, yeast, oats, yeast, charred caramel and yeast. Finish is a delicate balancing act of yeast, roasted malt and yeast. Medium body is sizzling with carbonation. The next time I need to do a semi-dormant volcano model for my kid’s science project I’ll grab a bomber of this. I tried to refrain, but this became the third drain pour of my life. Momentous occasion, in the way that will require therapy. Please forgive me (and the brewer) O father for our beer sins?!
Yeah, this one I like. Nice roastyle flavor, hoppy, but not harsh. This is the beer I should have ordered a full pour of, but they called last call before I got to it. AlmostHome (70) - Gulfport, Mississippi, USA - FEB 22, 2015
Good not great. Not overwhelmingly hoppy, which to me is a plus. Used a bottle so couldn't be so sure of color but appeared pretty dark. Touch too bitter for me.

At brewery. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, mollases and coffee. The taste has the medium bitterness of a hoppy IPA. sonnycheeba (6342) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - DEC 17, 2014
Tap at festival. Pours deep, dark bown with beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, light coffee, chocolate, and some earthy hops. Flavor is mostly balanced between the dark/roasted malts and the earthy/pine bitterness with some cocoa flavors though I wish there was a little more there. Medium body and carbonation. Draft at Hop City. Almost black, thick beige head with solid lacing. Nice cocoa pine aroma. Taste is smooth roasty chocolate, lightly bitter finish. OK.

Strong aroma of sweet molasses with some hints of vanilla. Over carbonated 12 oz bottle. Once settled down, nice ebony color with a dark tan head. Thick molasses flavor up front, with too much bitterness up front. Not enough time for sweetness to be noticed. Carbonation way too high, finishes with an even bitterness, but not much balance. Would like to try a properly carbed bottle to compare. Prufrockstar (2259) - Moscow, Idaho, USA - JUL 26, 2014
Bottle, thanks to summer secret santa. Pours dark brown with a giant, long-lasting khaki head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, copper, a little garbage. Taste: Nondescript but resinous-ish hop bitterness gets mixed in with the roastiness. Some caramel as well, with a roasty bitter finish. Palate: medium body, loads of carbonation, slick oily texture. Overall: Alabama! beastiefan2k (4082) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - JUL 26, 2014
22oz bottle poured into Utopias glass. Way too much head, partially due to glass but also the overcarbed beer. Bad musty malt aroma, poorly hopped. Flavor has roast and wet poor hops.mojoman (158) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 30, 2013

Bottle; very heady beer. Watch out when opening. Rich with dark malt with a tobacco finish. Average beer of this style.

Sample at the Beers from the Bikes Villes tasting on 11/08/2013. Brownish-black pour with a thick foamy tan head that dissipates slowly. Sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, hops and citrus. Medium-bodied with flavors of chocolate malt, mild coffee and citrusy hops. The finish is roasty with a short malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
