Bottle: Did not care for the appearence at all. Spent yeast chunks floating all over the place. Wierd. Nice brew though. Defintely has the woodsy- aroma and flavor to it. Not as crisp and hoppy as I would like. Still, not a bad brew.

not one of my favorite ipas - has some toastiness in it along with a bit of mustiness. similar to hop devil, but not as crisp and defined. flavors in hoptical illusion seem - at least on some kegs - to be muddy.

Draft @ Frisco Grille in Columbia, MD. This is a respectable IPA. Tasty. I had this after a couple of other DIPAs and it held up nicely in terms of flavor, mouthfeel and aroma. Pours hazy, light orange/amber with creamy one finger head. Nice lacing. Big tangy, juicy citrus hops aroma....though not as big as the Loose Canon I had before this. My first Blue Point and I will be havin mo fo sho.

Pours a clear medium amber, hoppy boquet but no overwhelming. Hop/citrus flavor with some sweetness that seems to be more from alcohol contentant than maltdium mouth feel. Medium dry finish.

12oz bottle. good hop flavor. well balanced easy drinking IPA. Nothing detracted from the rating but nothing really stood out either. Nice solid hop flavor. Nice solid IPA

Alldaydrinker (559) - Norwood, Massachusetts, USA - APR 28, 2007
Poured into a pint glass with a golden colour, fizzy small head, lots of partiuclars. Aroma is floral with a ctirus aroma, grapefruit and hints of pine. Taste is medium hops, light malts, hints of grapefruit. Taste on the palate fades quick. Medium Body and good covering lacing.

CLoudy orange pour with a thin white head. Aroma of flowers, citrus and pine. Hoppy sweet flavor with a slight bitter finish.

Drink4Satan (676) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - APR 27, 2007
Pours a hazy orange with a medium sized head that retains poorly. The aroma is of grapefruity hops, pine, sour peach and other citrus scents. The flavour is floral and hoppy with a malty, fruity finish that doesnt last long enough. The palate is almost syrupy, especially in the finish. The lacing is impressive, leaving a film that coats the whole glass. Overall, this IPA is better than average, but not outstanding, as it has nothing unique or noteworthy about it.

This beer pours a nice golden color to it and it has a nice head to it. There are some nice hints of pine and hops as you smell it. There is a good hoppy taste but it is very mild.
