COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Mosaic Session IPA is a light, straw-colored, West Coast version that showcases serious aroma. It features Mosaic, Simcoe, and Centennial hops that lend strong tropical fruit characteristics to a light body and dry finish. You won’t be able to drink just one – and with less than 5% ABV, you don’t have to. Mosaic Session IPA is an homage to Blue Point Brewing Company’s storied history, a tale that is preserved on the original Tasting Room bar top that dates to 1997. It’s also one of the most personal beers we’ve crafted in a long time. Like the brewery itself, it’s been a work in progress. Our history is very much a mosaic – made up of a lot of talented people with a passion for brewing, and we think this latest brew is where our past meets our future.

12floz bottle, $1.5o unit cost, 05.03.2017 freshness date (unknown as to if BOD or BBD), mug glass. Heavy cannabis aroma permeates the air, and can be smelled from a few feet away. Appears straw-gold with particles still in suspension, and a little head. Light in body, somewhat astringent, and tastes like herbaceous stems. This beer is okay, but it tastes too much like wacky tobacky for my liking.

Bottle. It poured a hazy orange color with a white head. The aroma was of biscuits, grapefruit, tropical fruits and some hops. The taste was similar to the aroma with more biscuits, citrus, tropical fruits and hops. It had a nice bitter aftertaste. Good stuff.

12-ounce bottle pours a bright yellow color. No head. Aroma: tropical fruits, pine. Flavor: mango, pineapple, passion fruit -- almost syrupy tropical fruit tastes -- followed by some piney bitterness. Moderate mouthfeel. Not the best session IPA, but decent.

trapped (3150) - New York, TURKEY - MAR 20, 2017
Bottle. Pours clear golden with large foamy white head, very faint malty aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter taste with a hint of citrus peel and floral hops, thin body, medium bitter finish. They must have used very little Mosaic, since the flavor is almost not there.

sawbuck (734) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - MAR 8, 2017
Piney notes, mixed in with some catty citrus tones. Pale golden color with a thin white head. Sweet malt up front. Fresh pine, and grapefruit up front. Malt is thin. Bitterness is dry and mellow up front and intensifies. Watery mouthfeel. Average.

A refreshing beer that I can drink. That is, it is a drinkable beer. A clear golden-red color with a light taste of hops, but not so hoppy that you can’t drink 2-3 easily. Also comes in a pretty can which I appreciate. Not one of the very best session IPAs (I think Lagunitas Daytime and Founders All Day are superior), but it is usually pretty cheap so it is in my regular rotation nonetheless.

RedSox2004 (1895) - Pacific Palisades, California, USA - FEB 8, 2017
Clear yellow gold with a bright white head and modest lace. Aromas of grapefruit and modest pine notes. Extreme hop bitterness with a pleasant offsetting graham cracker-like malt sweetness. Light body, lively carbonation, watery mouthfeel and a crisp finish.

Lore (2746) - Budapest, HUNGARY - FEB 4, 2017
slightly opalescent darker golden colour, medium sized dense off-white head; aroma of grapefruit, resiny notes, orange zest, some tropical fruits and hints of sauerkraut; taste is the same with some bready notes; refreshing beer - I’m sure that I would substantially overrate it if it was a hot summer day...on a winter evening like this, it has less chance for this :-)

Straw color. Big , white head. Citrus and other tropical fruits dominate in aroma. Bitterness is not too strong and compensated by malty sweetness. Light body . Easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
