COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Mosaic Session IPA is a light, straw-colored, West Coast version that showcases serious aroma. It features Mosaic, Simcoe, and Centennial hops that lend strong tropical fruit characteristics to a light body and dry finish. You won’t be able to drink just one – and with less than 5% ABV, you don’t have to. Mosaic Session IPA is an homage to Blue Point Brewing Company’s storied history, a tale that is preserved on the original Tasting Room bar top that dates to 1997. It’s also one of the most personal beers we’ve crafted in a long time. Like the brewery itself, it’s been a work in progress. Our history is very much a mosaic – made up of a lot of talented people with a passion for brewing, and we think this latest brew is where our past meets our future.

Aroma - crystal malt, earthy hops. Appearance - body is a very slightly hazed gold. Head is white and around 1 1/4" and white. The bubbles are big and settle out into a small ring and flop of suds. Taste - malt is light and of the crystal nature. Hops are mild and earthy. Palate - body is light, texture is smooth, carbonation is average, finish is slightly bitter.

Can from Smith's. Pale gold with fizzy white head. Hops in the nose, fruit, tastes light in body, with hop flavor, some fruity notes, some astringency, and not well balanced. Dilly dilly my fucking ass.

Pour is a hazy blonde with a large white head. Aroma is a ok mosaic tropical fruit but this also has a bit of metal. Flavor is some tropical fruit and dry bready malt. A moderate amount of bitterness hits you after the swallow. This was a decent session ale. For this brewer, this is one of the more hoppier beers they make.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2017 12oz Bottle, Poured into tulip glass- Initial taste reminds me of dank armpit and I was not looking forward to the rest. Has a simple opening and a subtle, almost pine finish. Got better towards the end but wouldn’t seek it out again. Not awful, not great, not my style

12floz bottle, $1.5o unit cost, 05.03.2017 freshness date (unknown as to if BOD or BBD), mug glass. Heavy cannabis aroma permeates the air, and can be smelled from a few feet away. Appears straw-gold with particles still in suspension, and a little head. Light in body, somewhat astringent, and tastes like herbaceous stems. This beer is okay, but it tastes too much like wacky tobacky for my liking.

Bottle. It poured a hazy orange color with a white head. The aroma was of biscuits, grapefruit, tropical fruits and some hops. The taste was similar to the aroma with more biscuits, citrus, tropical fruits and hops. It had a nice bitter aftertaste. Good stuff.

12-ounce bottle pours a bright yellow color. No head. Aroma: tropical fruits, pine. Flavor: mango, pineapple, passion fruit -- almost syrupy tropical fruit tastes -- followed by some piney bitterness. Moderate mouthfeel. Not the best session IPA, but decent.

trapped (3884) - New York, TURKEY - MAR 20, 2017
Bottle. Pours clear golden with large foamy white head, very faint malty aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter taste with a hint of citrus peel and floral hops, thin body, medium bitter finish. They must have used very little Mosaic, since the flavor is almost not there.

sawbuck (792) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - MAR 8, 2017
Piney notes, mixed in with some catty citrus tones. Pale golden color with a thin white head. Sweet malt up front. Fresh pine, and grapefruit up front. Malt is thin. Bitterness is dry and mellow up front and intensifies. Watery mouthfeel. Average.
