Big bottle at The New Penguin, 06/04/14. Dusky peach bright with fizz under a tight white foam. Peach bomb nose with lemon-infused cake, honey and lemon throat sweet, tempura and pine needle hop notes. Soapy and shot through with honey and lemon; warm booze, orange liqueur, peach iced tea and sweet deep-fried batter flavours. Balancing bitter finish. Very West Coast. The appearance had a hazy golden colored body, one finger white foamy head that dies within a half minute adequate clingy and coated lacing graces the sides of the glass.
The smell had a nice rye malt up front. There’s a decent amount of citrus hoppiness coming out along with some pine in an earthy sort of way.
The taste had a sweet and somewhat earthy with an adequate spicy flavoring from the rye. Everything combines fantastic. The aftertaste is somewhat spicy yet malty aftertaste and finish (though I do have to admit, the finish does seem slightly grainy as well).
The palate sits about a medium with a decent harshness of a typical Rye Beer trying to pound my mouth and tongue, but for the most part it doesn’t as it seems balanced enough to not let the carbonation add to the pounding of the mouth and tongue, decent sessionability.

On tap at Battleship. Pours a golden color with medium white head. Aromas are of rye, floral hops, sweet caramel malts. Taste is of a faint IPA with an grassy grassy and earthiness to it. Hints of pine, spruce, and lemon from the hops. Not bad. Prob a first and last.

Medium brown with medium brown head. Aroma grassy and piney hops, and some bread-like malt. Medium full body. Flavor is overall sweet. There is some bit of spice, and some hops. Clear golden amber with a moderate off white covering.
Nose is hops, rye strains evident, citric notes, woody tones, bitter orange.
Taste comprises orange pith, caramel malt, rye notes, light spice, hint of grapefruit.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate, light spice and hop bitterness in the finish.
