Bottle. Pours a clear light golden orange color with a small white head. Nose is light rye with some sweaty malt notes. Palate is somewhat crisp but a bit sticky. Flavors of light grassy hops, rye, and sugary malts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12-ounce bottle pours clear orange with slight off-white head. Aroma: toffee, caramel, bread, pepper. Flavor: salted caramel, bubblegum, anadama bread, rye whiskey. Chewy, slick mouthfeel. Very tasty, yet a bit too sweet for my taste buds. Id like to see them brew a rye IPA -- even better, a bourbon-barrel version for a rye IPA!

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Cigarette City. Appearance is clear amber-orange with light sparkle, 2-finger width foamy beige head with nice retention and fair sudsy lacing. Aroma is fruit, resin, earthy hops, light citrus and rye. Taste is like aroma with some alcohol and more spicy rye than aroma--almost like a DIPA-light, if there were such a thing. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, this may be my favorite Blue Point beer. Nice array of aromas/flavors with a refreshingly crisp palate and gorgeous look.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle that is dated 01/27/2016. Amber-orange colored pour with OK clarity and a modest white head that fades. Busy carbonation. This bottle is about six months old so I am getting more of a stale malt character than rye or grain. It is there some but it has generally faded over the months. Low to no hop profile. Medium body. The taste is more of a stake malt bomb with a slight semi-dry bitterness to end. I need a fresher one next time. Thats the problem with buying mixed packs on sale at grocery stores.

Pours a medium amber with small white head. Smells of light spices, herb-resin mix of hops. Taste is a bit lackluster - balanced sweet and bitter - but nothing stand out well.

Poured golden amber from the bottle. Fine foamy head. Dry rye palate. Even hop malt balance. Crisp cracker finish. Little round in the mouth.

Cloudy, amber color. Full body, flavorful, low carbonation and heat, smooth mouthfeel, long aftertaste. Moderately bitter, dry. Hoppy, herbal, floral, honeyed finish. Quite enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours gold into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Sour pumpernickel aromas. Caramel and sourdough upfront turning to soft pumpernickel in the sour finish.

Pint pour deep honey, light amber. Nose is sweeter caramel malts with a mild rye spice. Rye opens up as it warms. Flavor is somewhat balanced, as much as I hate that word. Citrus and light resin notes pair with the spice of the rye making it somewhat drinkable and not boring. Its not the best thing in the world but pretty drinkable. 17042015
