Blue Point Brewing's Summer Ale has a delicious golden taste. In addition to traditional barley malt; a substantial portion of wheat malt is added to the mix giving this brew a unique tartness that's not found in many beers today. A small amount of lemon is added with one other "special" ingredient that all combine together to produce a light, thirst-quenching, citrus flavor microbrew enjoyed by all on a hot, Long Island Summer day.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, golden, small white head. Aroma of yeast and malts with some fruit notes. Taste is sweet, bready, malty combined with some citrus notes. Good summer beer, crisp and refreshing, it does what it is intended to do; not bad.

Liked this summer ale, nice mild hoppy beer, easy to drink but interesting enough, will buy again for a hot day

Basically same as any other American golden/blonde ale between 4-5% ABV...if you’ve had one you’ve had them all.

Golden color , nice white head. Aroma of malt and grain. Taste like average lager. Light body , high carbonation . Refreshing and really good for summer.

jhamp9 (1864) - Corinth, Texas, USA - JUL 21, 2014
Clear amber with a white head that fades quickly. Aroma is sweet toffee and grains. Taste is cereal, faint citrus, and perfume. Slight prickle from the carbonation. Light body.

closey22 (1946) - Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, USA - JUL 7, 2014
Dark Gold with thin offwhite head ; aroma is light with slight malt hint; Flava is malty sweet; feels light moderately fizzy and crisp; finishes malty grainy slight tang .

BLADT (700) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - JUN 16, 2014
Bottle pour. Clean gold with fast retreating head. Limited lacing. Nose of honey, pale ale malts and limited grassy hops. Everything is muted. Taste is malts, with a vague colt 45 like sweetness, offset with a modicum of hops. Not a whole lot else going on. Basic and a bit jagged. Overall, this is straightforward, non-offensive drinking.
