Blue Point Brewing's Summer Ale has a delicious golden taste. In addition to traditional barley malt; a substantial portion of wheat malt is added to the mix giving this brew a unique tartness that's not found in many beers today. A small amount of lemon is added with one other "special" ingredient that all combine together to produce a light, thirst-quenching, citrus flavor microbrew enjoyed by all on a hot, Long Island Summer day.

Fairly sweet beer. Really refershing in summer when chilled. Not overly fizzy. I’d drink again.

In a beer hawk mystery case. Golden colour , frothed on opening. Pours with a good head. Sweet liquid , not many hops. Not to my taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish golden colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, white head. Expressionless, slightly strawy, pale malty aroma. Taste is minimally strawy pale malty, a touch of hay; monotonous, watery. Forgettable.

Clear golden color, small white head. Bready, citrus fruity aroma. Light-bodied. Bready, citrus, pear fruity and earthy. Feels a bit old even it is brewed in Spring 2016. Meh. Fake craft.

[email protected] Beer Session (from Saveur Biere). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, some slight earthy notes along with some mild grainy and dough like notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, some herbal and mild nectary and wooden notes. Pleasant nectary and floral aftertaste.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Cigarette City. Appearance is cloudy pale yellow with greenish tinge, mild sparkle, small white ring of head and no lacing. Aroma is funky, musty tart over cracker malt. Taste is as aroma with mild citrus. Palate is medium bodied with watery texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish like taste. Overall, thankfully this was cold so it was refreshing but the tart quality is not a plus.

Bottle. Light grain for the malt, herbs for the hops, dried leaves for the yeast, with boiled vegetables and corn in the background. Head is small, frothy, white with no lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is clear gold. Flavor starts moderately acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and lightly bitter. Palate is light, watery, with a fizzy carbonation and a lightly astringent finish. Nothing really good to say about this Golden Ale, just a blah beer.

The appearance was a golden color with a decent transparency about it. Mild carbonation was seen rising. Fizzy white head. The aroma leans to some crisp sweet grassy hops. Some earthy bitterness tries to come across. Light lemon sweetness. The flavor rides on a light lemon sweetness. Lemon drop sugary sweet aftertaste with a sticky sweet finish, and actually disheartening. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation seems level for what it is. Overall, flavor seems a bit too sweet, imbalance with some cloying sweetness. Hard to say if I would come back to, I want to say most likely not. And don’t judge my review on the date I uploaded this because I have had this more than enough times fresh.
