COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Toasted Lager was originally named for the “toasted” characteristic of our original direct-fire brick kettle. Our World Beer Cup gold medal winning flagship brew is brewed with a blend of six specialty malts for a flavor as rich and unique as the town it’s from. Toasted Lager’s balanced flavor of malt and hops makes for easy drinking and our special proprietary lager yeast produces an exceptional, long-lasting smooth finish.

AnokaBrewer (207) - Anoka, Minnesota, USA - JUL 13, 2017
On tap at Embassy Suites. Light amber pour with little aroma. A little bitter up front and in the finish, though it is not the kind of bitterness from hops like in an IPA.

Clear old gold pour with a three finger, fluffy eggshell head that has decent retention. Aroma is toast, caramel, oily grain, light doughiness, floral hops. Flavor is indeed pretty toasty up front, then a good deal of caramel, some light nutty notes, odd bitter oily grain and light earthy and floral hops. Light to medium body, dry, but slightly slick feel, medium, sharp carbonation, dry, but slightly oily finish. Not really my cup o’ tea.

BeardedAvenger (841) - Addlestone, Surrey, ENGLAND - JUL 11, 2017
Keg at Rose and Thistle, Frimley. Vague grassy aroma. Amber. Thick fluffy off-white head. Down in the dial taste-wise - light bitter, umami. It doesn’t really register. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Abrupt finish. It’s perfectly pleasant and rate the palate and appearance. But there’s nothing to it. Enjoyable whilst simultaneously being inconsequential as far as taste goes. Hmmm. Difficult one.

ajnepple (6701) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 3, 2017
12 oz single bottle from Hy Vee Wine & Spirits - Council Bluffs (Madison Ave). Clear, light amber appearance with a dissipating white head. Aroma of toasted malt and mild hops. Similar flavor, adding mild sweetness and balanced by a light bitterness. Light to medium body. Smooth, clean and easy to drink. A decent lager overall.
