Toasted Lager was originally named for the “toasted” characteristic of our original direct-fire brick kettle. Our World Beer Cup gold medal winning flagship brew is brewed with a blend of six specialty malts for a flavor as rich and unique as the town it’s from. Toasted Lager’s balanced flavor of malt and hops makes for easy drinking and our special proprietary lager yeast produces an exceptional, long-lasting smooth finish.

Good taste. Probably would be great with a burger. Does have a slight nutty aftertaste. Pretty good aroma of I would say apple or a tart fruit. Pretty good!

On tap at Batch Gastropub. Clear amber with medium off-white head. Aroma is rotten grain, medium body, low carbonation, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is rotten grain sin and caramel.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2018 Arômes de malts caramélisés. Robe légèrement ambrée sans mousse. Attaque sur des malts légèrement grillés. Langueur sur du caramel. Pas mal.

Pint. Pours amber, lacy head. Very soft mouthfeel. Nice well balanced malt, sweetness and some citrus. Very drinkable. Like.

Not much toastiness in taste or smell. Very sweet front and lot of bittering hops. Not great

Amber ale with a lot of carbonation. There are hints of caramel notes and roasted flavour

dlihcsnatas (837) - Temple, Texas, USA - DEC 22, 2017
Good looking light amber brew with a slightly roasted and very malty flavor. Not bad for a lager and it came all the way from NY in a bottle like a real beer should.

Benters (153) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 17, 2017
Pours a clear amber with average carbonation. Aromas of lightly roasted malts, some caramel and hint of hops. Taste is malt forward, a really nice malt sweetness with toasted flavours, caramel and a slight smokiness. Very crisp and easy drinking, hops balance the sweetness of the beer but are very much playing a secondary role. Enjoyable Vienna-style lager.

Bottle from the Beer Hawk advent calendar. Smooth, malty, fudge and caramel notes. Easy drinking but a little too buttery on the palate for me.
