Medium sweet flavor, light plastic and pine bitterness, some citrus notes, slight grass, and roast. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with nice roast, lasting pine, dark sugars, dark malts. Lasting burnt sugars. Very decent. Theydon_Bois (19200) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - DEC 2, 2013
Can at Percy Street BBQ, PHL, 29/11/13.
Very dark mahogony brown with a moderate light tan covering that reduces to edgework.
Nose is dank hops, light tropicals, grapefruit, earthy cocoa, pine.
Taste comprises light roast, cocoa powder, light metallic tang, hint of pine, grapefruit.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finale with subtle hop bitterness.
OK CDA but pretty middle of the road for the style.

Bottle at Chriso FullersGales tasting. Dark brown. Lasting beige. Smokey black ipa alright actually still suffers from some black ipa probs i.e. its a bit thin on the back end. Ok upfront but end fails Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 19, 2012
Draught, Abraxas. Reddish dark-brown with a thin head. The aroma is caramel and wood hop. Toasty, nutty with patent malt (I think) and lots of hop dryness. Coffee notes from that malt. Not bad but I could do with more hop brightness and more complexity. jtclockwork (16444) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 4, 2011

Bomber from Half Time. Pours really dark brown with a small beige head. Aromas of resin and chocolate. My nasal passage seems burnt. Med body. Flavor is resin, burnt malt and chocolate. Something hinting of diacetyl. Works here. Then there’s something like chocolate wine. Then it’s more like chocolate cake. Mixed with herbs and anise. There’s a lot going on with this one. Finishes blackly bitter. Pretty nice stuff.
