Bottle at Chriso’s Fullers-Gales tasting, thanks to Leighton. It pours very dark brown, with a thick beige head. The nose is treacle, pine, resin and sweet caramel. The taste is pine, resin, treacle, charcoal, liquorice, cola and roasted malt, with a bitter-sweet finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Draft sample. Poured clear black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt, earthy hop with a small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy dark bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a very good complex beer.

Can. Great smell, tropical fruits and some sweetness. The flavor is bland and mediocre though. It is a brownish beer, not really black either.
