Bottle at Joe’s ridiculous going away party tasting. Pours a murky brown with a thin beige head. Big and malty. Sticky hops all over. Murky and malty. Nothing crazy going on, but still decent enough. sloth (2906) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - NOV 4, 2010
Pours a nice medium sized offwhite head, good retention and lace. Almost black in color, nice ruby edging. Nose is faint roast, pine and light chocolatey notes, hint of smoke. Body is basically medium, lightly oily, tame carbonation. Light chocolate flavors backed with pine and roast, grain, raspy. Dry finish, light roast and hop, mild bitterness. Not nearly toxic, but itll do. Bomber procured from Statelineliquors. ben4321 (6514) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - NOV 20, 2010

Aroma: The nose is toasty and roasted malts, earthy hops, and some citrus
Appearance: The pour is a muddy brown-black with a small tan head
Flavor: Flavor is balanced, has a good combination or roasted malts and hops
Palate: The body is somewhat thick, its medium-full bodied, but still drinks pretty smoothly
Overall, this is a solid black IPA. It isn’t anything spectacular, but its certainly worth trying. I always like these beers where they send the proceeds to charity, that is certainly always a good thing. Anyway, it is a solid beer, and worth buying at least once.
Very solid black IPA. Pours a deep amber, borderline black but light gets throug faintly. Aroma is caramel and citrus. Taste is sweet with muted bitterness. Smokeyness lingers. Nice

Pours dark brown with a tan head. Smells of resin, pine needles, earthy, peppery. Tastes of light resin, some sweet caramel, tea. Spicy finish. Not as bold as some of their other projects, but enjoyable.

Thanks to TIM and Rachel for the bottle. Deep and dark, very metallic smell, subdued hops, a little malt bitterness, easy drinking. Favorite Blueprint brew so far. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 21, 2010
