Rich, enjoyable lager in the Vienna style. Deep reddish color, rich frothy, long lasting head. Nice aroma of hops and biscuits. Malty flavor with lots of hidden flavor notes appearing at different points as you go from start to finish in the glass. If only every U.S. brewer made a lager like this one. Very enjoyable. Excellent beer, malty and clean taste that leaves you quite refreshed as you should be with a lager. Decent hops and hearty flavor. Strykzone (7659) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - FEB 6, 2003
A very smooth beer. Rather dark in appearance with a light head. Very enjoyable.

From old tasting notes. Amber red liquid supports a creamy beige head. Sweet spicy toasted malt aroma. Crisp, complex, dryish malt flavor. Big hoppy finish. Long clinging mouthfeel in aftertaste.. VENOM (941) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 3, 2003
Dull amber. Scant, off white head. Slow, big bubbled carbonation. Caramel and light toasted malt aroma with flakes of spicy hops. Crisp yet firmly malted with caramel notes, toasty husks and a touch of cocoa. Spicy hop balance. Medium body. Quite full for a lager, though crisply finishing. Ends with a toasted caramel, spicy hop mixture and clean water finish. Not quite a Vienna but a good amber lager. Yuhasz (23) - USA - APR 4, 2005
This is a very neutral beer. Not too heavy, not too light. This Amber Lager was pretty good. beachbum25 (1092) - Powellville, Maryland, USA - JAN 8, 2006
