3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught @ Blue Star - I was lucky on my trip to San Antonio to get to Blue Star while this was pouring...it was like an oasis of taste in a Shiner Bock and Lone Star wasteland, which I’ll be happy if I never see again...Pours a hazy golden with a large fluffy white head...aroma is tart, lemon and dusty grain, sour apple...flavour is similar, not acidic, but grainy and tart, green apple skins and light bitterness, lacto...thin and subtle, i’ll probably be heading back for more...

Sour aroma. Golden coloured a little hazy in appearance fruity and sour with a yeasty malt finish. DarkBeerChick (155) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - DEC 30, 2010
Funky hazy yellow in appearance. Aroma is lemony citrus, sweet tarts candy and cherry. Light carbonation that end abruptly. Sour with a slight fruitness. I think this is the best beer they have to date. BarZigKin (511) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - DEC 1, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy yellow body with a ring of head. Aromas are lemony, citric, light montmorency cherries, sweet/tart and grass. Flavors are similar, but more subdued than the aromas: Lightly fruity, funky, a little dusty and a bit of horseblanket. Fine carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a tight, dry finish. This is a much better than expected offering from Bluestar. llcooldave (1217) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - NOV 12, 2010
Draft at the brewbup. Cloudy lemony yellow in the glass. Odd but barely tolerable aroma of hard-boiled eggs. Slightly watered down tangy citrus flavor. Overall, this is very drinkable flavor-wise, but the aroma took away from the experience.

(Draught) Pours a clear golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of lemon, horseblanket, herbs, and grapefruit. Flavor of sour lemon, grain, and earth. Somewhat Berliner-weisse-like clean and refreshing summer beer. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 27, 2010
(Draught at GABF) clearish gold, ring of white bubbles. Nose of sour apricot, peach, wood, reminds of gueuze, some cherry and funk in there as well. Taste of tart cherry, lemon, some grain, and it’s quite mouth watering! Tart linger that’s delicious. Highly drinkable given its thin body and great mouth watering sourness. I liked this much more than expected.
